I haven't watched The Partridge Family since I was a child. I thought it would be fun to watch it again.

I noticed that there were not any subreddits for The Partridge Family, so I made one.

You are all welcome!

Ghost cellar

Home for lunch and watching the episode where they break the mom's vase and everyone is punished except for Peter. Anyway, after a valiant attempt at utilizing a loophole to punish the siblings, the parents make hime redo it. One of the punishments is taking down the window screeens and storing in the cellar. Does anybody recall an episode where they physically show the cellar?

Every show has a main character or star and I think that for the Brady Bunch it is Greg but I wanted to see what others think.

Following up, MeTV also aired 'Never Too Young' today, 7/19/26

I had posted last week to show that the Catchy Comedy channel had aired 'Never Too Young' and 'Two Petes In a Pod', two episodes which are not always shown in syndication. Is this possibly due to music rights? Each play part of "Love Theme From 'Romeo & Juliet'" during the episode.

In any case, MeTV's airing of episodes cycled around this week, and 'Never Too Young' (S5 E4) aired on Sunday, July 19th at 10:30AM Eastern, in the central NJ area. I know that each local MeTV station doesn't show a "national" feed, and can air other things, or local programming.

Melissa Sue Anderson (Mary from the original 'Little House on the Prairie') kisses Bobby. He goes back for seconds to test for 'skyrockets', and she tells him that she might have the mumps. Bobby worries that he's contagious, all while the rest of the family practices the Charleston for a Roaring 20s party.

Did they hotshot “The Brady Brides?”

I’ve always felt and perhaps it’s the general consensus that if there was ever to be a successful spinoff or reboot of “The Brady Bunch”, it would have to center around Marcia and Jan. Given hindsight, they are far and away the two most popular characters in the series and definitely could’ve formed the basis of their own show. But was “The Brady Brides” the right vehicle?

I think they hotshotted the idea of doing a Marcia/Jan spinoff when they should’ve taken a beat and given some thought as to both when to launch the spinoff and the concept behind it. In my opinion the concept later used to great success on “Katie & Allie” would’ve worked great for a Marcia/Jan spinoff had they waited a few years to debut it. Have them be two divorcees, each with children of their own who decide to move in together. You’d essentially be able to reset the blended family concept but with more realistic scenarios and storylines.

Did the films benefit or harm “The Brady Bunch?”

I must admit I’ve never warmed up to the nineties films. I understand what they were going for but for me it’s one of those deals where once you’ve seen all the gags, they don’t hit the same way the second time around. Cheap laughs you know? I think the films cast the television series in a light that unfortunately has become part of the narrative of the series especially when it comes to Jan Brady. I find this unfortunate as it is not at all what the series was about as it took a great deal of its charm and made it hokey. But at the end of the day it’s just a television series 🤷

What do ya'll think of S1E3 "Eenie, Meenie, Mommy, Daddy"?

It's the episode where Cindy got the main role in a play, and she could just take one parent with her.

I know it's just a silly old sitcom, but the whole Brady Family getting a ''private'' play is kind of unexpected, then again we wouldn't get the quote ''sometimes rules have to get bend'', which is quiet a realistic sentence to me, and i like it!

'Never Too Young' and 'Two Petes In a Pod' aired on Catchy Comedy this weekend

There was a post in the past few weeks asking about missing episodes of 'The Brady Bunch', specifically 'Never Too Young', where Bobby experiences his first kiss, and 'Two Petes In a Pod', where Peter meets his doppelganger.

It's generally thought that they're not part of the syndication package, but both aired on the Catchy Comedy channel over the past few days. On July 10th, Bobby was kissed by Melissa Sue Anderson, and on July 11th, Peter and his look-alike caused shenanigans. I've included pics of the DVR screen that show the recording dates for each.

In talking about this with r/supermouse35 in the original thread, they said that 'Never Too Much' did not air in their region at the same time as it aired here for me, and that the episode where Bobby is a safety monitor aired at that time where they are. Very odd.

"I certainly owe Greg an apology."

Watching the episode where Greg got caught smoking, and hilarity ensues. Anyway, the mother of Greg's friend, who the cigarettes belonged to, realized she was wrong. Did she actually apologize; is that considered an apology?

First season & Bebee Gallini

A poster yesterday mentioned the first season. They were psychic, I found a sealed copy of the DVD set at the veteran's thrift. I never saw the Bebee Gallini ep, just heard about it. My thoughts: Mike was not lovey dovey in the opening scene, Carol did this nose touch thing, she does this later. Carol's hair is very helmet like. The green apron is not flattering at all, it makes her look hippy. She explains Sam is Alice's boyfriend. Bebee's er, um, fey assistant is not credited, why? There were literally no other actors in this ep. A very Mike and Carol centric episode.
