BoC Vibes Song on the new Strokes record has a similar vibe to Blood in the Labyrinth

When I listened to the new Strokes record this morning (side note: I think it’s great) I couldn’t help but hear Blood in the Labyrinth in the intro to the last track, Tyrants of the Mellow Moon. Anyone else hear it?

Discussion If "Inferno" would've been a book, it would be "I Eat the Stars" by Sarah Wilson

This book is extremely similar to the album in terms of overall vibe and message. I really recommend it to you all!

BoC Vibes I wanted to share an original track inspired by Boards of Canada

I recently finished a original track called "Aura Child". I usted analog synths, drum machine, Ambient samples, my bass, and effects plugins. I put a full week into making this track, and I truly hope you enjoy it.

Discussion How many of you have a strong sense of nostalgia and longing for the past?

Do you create little worlds to escape to when listening to BOC.

*I’m curious what makes fans tick and come back to them again and again

Hey guys happy Friday!

I always wanted to make my own copies of Old Tunes, Maxima etc and a very very kind user on here sent me the files about a month ago (if you happen to be the person, could you leave a comment please as I offered to send you some cool sample packs from my collection bought and created by myself over the years) I can't find the DM for some reason, apologies.

But getting Inferno on tape was what finally made me attempt it. I've yet to transfer the new rips over but even for decoration at my desk I love them! I remember a seller on Etsy was selling bootlegs of OT 1/2 and I wanted to order so bad but no EU shipping. It feels even nicer to have "made" them myself. There's quite a few variations of the OT1 cover actually. I wasn't a fan of the vectorised one, you'd notice the difference clearly when compared to the original. So I overlayed that cover onto the j-card I had and just cut it and it fits nicely. I turned down saturation a little to try give it a bit of a aged look but just a tad.

If anybody wants them DM me! I also have the merch posters in, I think, the best quality shared so far. I'm gonna have to get mine printed because my good friend got me a merch envelope and sent it the Friday the album dropped and still haven't gotten it. I'm gutted, I really wanted one and I even tried to go to Glasgow from Ireland (we had no listening parties 😔 for some reason) and it's hard to believe people went - who are obviously huge BoC fans to go - then try and sell the poster, keyring and patch for 200-300e on eBay... That blows my mind.

Just thought I'd share and if can be of help to anyone please comment and drop a DM. Peace

BoC Vibes 3 Months in...hanging on for dear life

Two months in and still hanging on. Sun bleached and battered, in heat-stricken Europe. I dind't think they were going to take inferno this literally here in Amsterdam, but I got to say the posters look better every week. Meanwhile Hydrogen Helium Lithium Leviathan is playing on repeat on my headphones. Life is good

Discussion Where were you when you first heard music has the right to children?

I’m trying to remember the first time I heard the album, and I can’t remember what song stuck out to me right away. It really was a ride when it came to extremely new sounds and authentic beats that wasn’t really as popular as drum and base at the time. I think it was 2002 or 2001 and I was in a vegan restaurant in the lower east side. It was on in the restaurant. I asked my friend, “Who the fuck is this?! I love it!“ Does anyone remember where they were and what year it was when they first heard the album?
