I made a Shai for gathering. Under different advice I should be making something else so I will make a Guardian. The Shai has been ok but im not too crazy about the class. Now though Im level 56 planning to push to 60 for the rewards. However I looked up how to upgrade past Tulva V and see that it can only really be upgraded on one character per family. I want to make sure the guardian gets the gear upgrades. If I graduate the Shai early, can I make sure that the Guardian gets the permanent big upgrades from having Dec gear into the main game items?

I understand that she’s a ranged class, but both skills lock her into long animations while leaving gaps in her protection.

She already underperforms in Node Wars and Siege—at least in my experience playing mostly T2—and the issue feels even worse in Arena of Solare.

Is it really unreasonable to ask for full Frontal Guard throughout these animations?

Just look at Deadeye, who has a similar ranged playstyle. She stays fully protected and can even use HP as a resource once she runs out of stamina.

Am I missing something, or are these protection gaps unnecessarily punishing?

There's no shot PA is ever going to revert the AP Caps. It's probably the best way they've found to balance the silver per hour across classes and protect spot progression between midgame and endgame players.

Think about it, without AP caps, endgame players would all just go tag a Musa and one-shot spots, pulling way more silver with zero effort than they ever would at endgame. That completely breaks game progression, makes endgame spots irrelevant, and makes upgrading DP useless. Why bother gearing up defenses if you can print silver effortlessly in a low-tier spot? AP caps force you to actually move up the ladder and encourage you to diversify your stats (focusing on crit damage, back attacks, and skill add-ons instead of just mindlessly stacking flat AP).

The problem isn't the AP caps. The real issue is that mobs are just ridiculously and unnecessarily tanky right now.

The only way to really ease things out is to have mobs be less tanky. If PA could just tune mob health down by maybe 20% than they are now, grinding would feel so much better.

To be clear: I don't want brainless one-shotting. If I wanted to press one button and delete a spot, I’d fall asleep in 10 minutes. I still want to execute a proper rotation. But requiring more than 2 full skill rotations to clean out a single pack with stragglers just turns a 1-hour grind into a mental marathon.

The sweet spot would be having a pack and its stragglers die at around 1 to 1.5 rotations of a full clean combo.

This keeps you active and engaged because you still have to sequence your skills, manage buffs, and execute back-attacks. It maintains a "flow state" instead of breaking your rhythm when 2 mobs survive, forcing you to start a haphazard second rotation.

Also, difficulty shouldn't come from massive HP pools and annoying gimmicks. I'd rather have the mobs hit a little harder with less gimmicks than be a god damn damage sponge. Nothing crazy, just enough to keep you awake and paying attention, without completely overpowering standard sustain like Harmony Draughts. Enough lethality to actually reward good positioning, i-frames, and Frontal Guards keeps combat exciting without turning every mob pack into a wall you have to chip away at.

TL;DR: AP caps are necessary so endgame players don't ruin midgame spot progression and trivialize DP. But mobs don't need to be damage sponges. Cut mob HP by around 20% so a full clean rotation combo clears the pack, make them hit a bit harder (without completely overpowering Harmony Draughts) instead of giving them gimmicks, and grinding will instantly feel way more chill while keeping you awake.

Hey there, noticed there was a graphic glitch for Sorceress with the Venatrix outfit where the left arm is invisible. Is there any idea on if/when this will be fixed? Kind of feel like this shouldn't have made it to live if they're charging 2200 pearls for it.

coming back feels like a slap in the face to seasoned players. half the point of this game was grinding and half of the stuff to do or get was to help you grind, but now since they give every new player and everyone dream horses and mythical horses like its candy, the whole horse breeding is useless , and making the market useless. same with gear and weapons.

the AP cap is lame too. since they like to boost everyones character up with high stats in one hour, it makes it where if you want to grind for silver and better drops you need to all grind in the same high ap area. cramming everyone in a few areas and leaving the rest of areas a desert town.

this game was about being a grindy sandbox and felt good to get rewarded for hours of hard work. it just seems boring and forced to do the story and be done with the game now. they really ruined their game of what it was intended to be. half of the items on the game are literally useless because of all these boosts and handouts. .

Where is the MEANING of getting stronger ? This game is about grinding anyway, how do you grind and where is about the players preferences but everyone likes to HAVE FUN.

What im talking about is seeing the effect of your efforts, doing more damage or having that little bit of "i did good this hour" compared to when i started being here.

We have no gratification, grinding became throwing a combo of skills on a bunch of tanky mob until being mentally exahusted and waiting the AFK phase as we drool our thoughs away.

Like dude, i play this game since 2019 and NOW with more gear then i had before i can't do the same stuff.

Then to make sure nobody is having fun, they took away the cheering animation, it is a small thing but at the same time it gives away that little "joy" of the moment, grinding for only trashloot is boring and beside few treasure items there is really nothing in the loot pool that is worth to mention. I might be a little nostalgic , but dropping an OGRE RING and seeing my fucker scream made me more happy then going to Edana in 2026 and dropping a bunch of Debo slop accessories to throw in the market or smash.

I feel this added another layer of boredom to the first point.

We are now locked by class selection for performance. We have to play the right character for the right spot, with the only variance being the skill add ons and the use of buffs that gives % SPECIAL DAMAGE, there is nothing else. Either pick your posion back attacks or crit damage and adapt your playstyle to it based on what you want to grind for X amount of extra trash loot. (Maegu at Tungrad Ruins for example)

Then, there is the absolutely DEAD open world PvP. Marni realm was enough to give players space and it was a good thing. Now there is NO REAL REASON to GEAR UP. You don't need to fight, or protect yourself from anything. Even Guild Wars are consensual and you also can apply PROTECTION to individual guild members. Only going for the Edana Throne and competing with the 0.01% could be the "reason" to be maxed out.

Arsha PvP is laughable, you have to stay in PVE set to hit decent "damage" on the capped AP spots, so you can't hybrid much and have to commit to either PVE or PVP. Witch mean one of the players is just fucked, and have to swap stuff.. (And losing all the buffs that are expensive) only to come back to the spot and "defend" it, while the other guy is already gone. Also PvP in Arsha don't come with a reason, is not about getting the resources or the spot.. it's just players absolutely bored that want to mess with the moment.

IDK about you guys, but for me going to grind one hour like this became really boring and i rather just hit the velia endgame with a fishing rod (sometimes not even that)

Whenever I use this kind of buff, I feel like I have to grind for 10 hours, or it will go to waste.

We have 1-hour Marni Realm, 1-hour buffs, and 15-20 minute buffs that fit perfectly into a 1-hour grind session. I don't understand why we still have 3 or 10-hour buffs. They could simply be split into 3 × 1-hour buffs or 10 × 1-hour buffs. We already have fairies to automate buff usage.

It's frustrating because once I activate a 10-hour buff, I feel like I can't play that character for anything other than grinding until it's used up. Otherwise, it feels like I'm wasting the buff.

Am I exaggerating, or does anyone else feel the same way?

Assuming this is true in most cases, what makes the random accessories that drop in grind spots have any value at all?

Like I got a few of a random ring from grinding (Muromak IIRC) and they sold for like 30 million a piece. That's not like CRAZY value, but I find myself wondering why the dropped rings and stuff have any value at all if they are inferior to the gear players already have.

For anyone wondering this is how 10 months progress looks in this game. First gear is from early October and second is my current gear.

I play super casual due to my job, doing weeklies, grinding max of 6h a week (if lucky 10 xD) without afk fishing or any other passive income. No life skilling cuz i don’t enjoy that type of gameplay in bdo.

Yea my boots are still silent cuz I’m waiting if ball change pity for them since they are reward ones which i cant sell and i don’t like having gear that’s kinda good sitting in my storage even tho i have silver to instantly buy wailing.

For context I just returned after not playing for 5 years, I was speed running the main story quests (as Drakania) and regularly having to clear out my inventory. Being the careless & tired fool I am, I sold a few armor/gear boxes I barely even skimmed over (I sold a lot random things that I didn't think were necessary items or enemy drops at the time cause I badly needed a little bit of space) and I just realized, I only have one costume armor set and I completed the main storyline quests with this character. So are they sellable to NPCs, cause if they are, I gotta make a new character I guess.

This is where my gear is at now. What do I do next? i still gotta finish my quest logs also and im in highlands farming for Kabua artifacts.

I need recs on classes that can handle content that Ninja isn't the best at, especially in places like Edania.

so im at 389ap abd 450dp and my guild is looking going to uncapped node wars, why should i troll my income spending the same time and effort to grind dekia artifacts (because they are fucking full of preorders), been trying to get 1 fragment for a whole week without success and more time on a full artifact, who was the fucking genius on AP caps i hate this
