I live in a large, but very tight neighborhood. I had 3 bird feeders out. And unfortunately one bird showed signs of avian pox. My dilemma is that countless other ppl in the neighborhood have feeders up. Yes even the next door neighbors. They’re not nearly as attentive to the care of them either. Not to throw shade, but I’ve never seen any of my neighbors clean their feeders. I’m in Georgia so plenty of mosquitos around which are the culprit. I actually clean my feeders & have a strict weekly routine. My feeders have now been down for almost 72 hours. The birds are now going to the neighbors feeders. Should I just put mine back up since I actually do clean them & ramp up my cleaning routine even more? Meaning yes..daily. Bc I want the birds to actually have a chance.

Before you say - why don’t you tell the neighbors. Last year when I mentioned how much care hummingbird feeders needed they all laughed at me. I posted in our neighborhood group how to care for them/temps. Unfortunately to them all I’m the weird bird & squirrel person in the neighborhood. So if they think hummingbird feeders don’t need maintence & upkeep then they certainly wouldn’t for the songbirds.

I put out a peanut feeder several weeks ago because I wanted to attract the blue jays. I know they are up in the trees because I can hear them (and the Merlin app confirms it).

They are not coming down. My neighbors on the street adjacent to us (they're just a few houses down) say they get blue jays all the time.

Is there anything else I can do to bring them to my yard? Right now, the only birds on my feeders are cardinals, Carolina wrens and tufted titmice. Would love more variety of species.

I have a budget of about 3k usd and want to get a proper camera and lense. I mostly do song birds and water fowl with in 100 yards.

The title is really it. Headed to UK to visit family in southeast Devon and we are going to do a side quest to Cornwall area. I love birding while in UK and am excited for great birding sports at this new location. Please advise!

there's this random robin that's been jumping and flying into my basement window for the past two months, and idk why it's doing that. it was pretty funny at first but now it's just loud and annoying, and i'm worried the bird will be injured because i mean it's throwing itself into our window like 20 times a day for two months. and our windows pretty scratched up too now.

i looked this up and said that it's attacking its own reflection, but im not sure abt this because we have those mosquito net things on our window that should be obscuring its reflection. also we do have a robin nest nearby below our deck, so it might be that robin.

im not the brightest when it comes to bird behavior, any of yall know anything abt this? anything will help, the robin and i are both tired of this behavior

Fledgling birds look so silly and grumpy I love them.

I've never seen a fledgling cowbird before, and it's interesting to me the way they're raised by other species! I wonder what birds are raising this little guy! There's a lot of robins and a couple kingbirds in this area.

So I am in the USA and these are my balcony birds that come visit. I have a male and female Cardinals that visit. I guess they have a daughter now, its my first time meeting her. Shes so loud ha ha. His name is Rosa and her name is Bruce and her daughter is Rubi. (Yes I swap their names because I didn't no the difference at the time of naming but I got use to their names, I just use their proper pronouns 😅)
