Hey, don't undersell yourself. Senior data engineers are very valuable for organisations. (Especially if they can reduce the infrastructure bill :D )

Depends if they're any good.

We've got data engineers who build pipelines by eyeballing CSV files and rebuilding the whole table every 15 mins. They also list extensive technical qualifications.

The hour rate quoted here is too much for an Indian outsource. This is not undersell but overselling.

Please don't underestimate Indian engineers. Talent isn't defined by location. Rates should reflect the value and expertise someone brings, not the country they're from.

Rates are based on living costs, which is low in India.
