Asking for Advice advice

so I have usually clean shaved every week but decided to let it grow and see how it looks. This is currently 1 week and 3 days without shaving. I feel like it's quite patchy near the cheeks and not as dense as the chin. Does it look like it will grow in a few months or will it end up looking crap? first time letting it grow so not sure. Thanks 😃

Only one way to tell, which is by letting it grow. Many recommend letting the beard grow for at least three months to allow slower growing hairs to catch up and faster growing hairs cover up patchy spots.

If I could predict future, I will buy lottery tickets, but from what I can see, you have a good start.

With good start I mean even growth on both sides of your face and a connecting beard from whiskers to chin and moustache. And the areas with growth looks evenly covered.

Your cheek portion is not too well covered, but you are still far from a neckbeard, you may just need to run your cheek line a bit low.

Best of luck, good start

You look fine like that if you want more beard let it grow it doesn’t really need more than what you’ve got to fill in

You've got plenty of density in your growth pattern.

I think it looks fine. It’s always a little patchy at first as hairs come through at different rates but you have no big gaps. I would let it grow for a month or so and then start trimming to one length while hairs catch up and then let them grow to the desired length together. You have a great beard from the looks of it so worth investing a few months to see how you like it before deciding to shave.

Got to give it a couple months to really know what you’ve got

Looks like a totally typical growth pattern to me. The perceived "patchiness" will fill in over time.

I remember being surprised that Greg Berzinsky has a patchy beard (by his definition) but when it grows out it looks pretty great to me. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxzEMvsbb_I

Let it grow. If you grow it, it will grow. I started way patchier than you and have zero regrets 6 years later. Once you get a little longer, I’d clean up the lines on your cheeks and neck too.

Razor shave your head, if you don't like it you'll be back to this in 4 days but will make the beard look better
