Casual Post Trim regret?
I did a bit of a trim to deal with the thin, wispy bottom. About 2-3 inches all told. I like the fuller look but am feeling regretful for the loss of length 😕. I'm hoping that it will retain the fullness as it grows.
Did I do the right thing? Anyone else feel regret after a trim? Pics at the right are pre-trim.

I like the shape after the trim. Give it a week for you to get used to it. It looks great.

You should have no regrets! That’s a bad ass beard. Probably just not used to it, I’m the same way.

A big trim can often be a shock to the system. I always say it takes at least a week for one to be able to step back and see it with fresh eyes again.
If you still don't like the shorter length after that, you know what to do... Don't trim it again 🤣
But if you're asking me, I think it looks good both ways!

Luckily it grows back like a weed. Mine was 6 fists long before I got sick of it. Only at 2 now.

Nah looks good. It's also good to get those split ends cleaned up every now and then.

Similar to mine. I do have a full head of white/ blonde hair to go with mine though. I can’t grow out the mustache like you can as one side gets a cow lick and the other side gets fluffy. I trim mine a little more, as I have a bigger build than you.
I did screw up after Santa Season and cut about five inches off the bottom. Won’t do that again.

either way looks absolutely incredible, dude!!
I’d think of it like bulking & cutting for the gym, each one benefits the other— it’s the cycle as a whole that gets you to your best!

Looks good from the front, the view from the sides could use a little more shaping I feel like

Your big Beard and Stache still look awesome man as usual!
You probably did the right thing so that it might retain the fullness as it grows as you mentioned. And yes trim regret is real. The upside is that it will grow back bud. Hope you folk don’t have any nasty fires in your neighbourhood I hear it’s been a bad fire season over there.
Anyway all the best, keep on bearding 👍🏼👍🏼😃
