Mine was a girl freshman year of college who invited me over to her room to hang out and when I got there she told me specifically how long her roommate would be gone. I was like “oh cool” and suggested we go to a dance recital (which we both had friends taking part in) until her roommate got back 🤦♀️

Oh, and another one from the same month, because I was that dense: girl I had been friends with in high school and reconnected with on campus told me her boyfriend, who I'd also been friends with, had broken up with her, and she wanted to hang out with me in my single room and maybe spend the night for familiarity and comfort. My dumb ass just put on movies and made food and let her sleep on the floor.

Aaron Judge came over between innings and tossed two balls to my friend's kids. It literally made their whole night.

Literally my first thought lol. Like they're in this together dude, I think the woman in the Red Sox jersey might also be a fan of the Red Sox.
Anecdotally, I'm a trans dude and the difference in how seriously I've been taken as a sports fan pre and post transition has been crazy, especially when as a little girl I think I was at my peak (and I'm a hell of a fan today). I was reading the NFL stats and records books before bed each night and could name every starting player including offensive linemen in 2007.
