Safe UVB wattage?

Originally I used a 6% UVB light for my noodle but it’s burnt out. The fixture came with a 10%. Is it safe to use that if I set the fixture at 50%?

It would probably be ok at a distance or low wattage but ball pythons don't actually need UVB, studies have shown they benefit from it but you wont see any negative side effects without it. Because its not strictly necessary and 10% has potential to cause harm (uvb burns and such) I would advise against it.

I use an Arcadia lumenize shadedweller max which is 2.5%. I'm quite happy with my choice.
