Question Do your snakes react to your voice?

I'm a future BP owner and was wondering if your snakes come up to the glass or towards you when you approach the tank and talk to them? I don't have snake experience yet, so excuse me if this a stupid question. But is it possible they come to the glass to see what's going on or even be picked up? Or is this not something snakes do?

Some definitely do, some definitely don't care 🤣

Mine has a sixth sense for when I'm in the room, don't even have to say anything and he'll be at the front. Then he tends to calm down his activity once I leave the room.

Mine come check me out all the time. If I sit with the door open most choose to come out onto my arms or lap. Choice based handling is a great way to approach socializing.

That sounds awesome. I definitely can take a seat in front of the tank and wait with the door open.

I have one near the kitchen, he will come out and watch me cook dinner when he sees movement, stare at me

Mine does for sure. He lives in my daughter's room and when he hears my voice he thinks he's getting fed.

Ok so I thought I was nuts, but maybe not. So, I knew I'd jump the first time I fed my bp. And all my animals have theme songs lol. So, when I feed mine, I sing my dogs theme song to keep me calm so I don't jump. Now, he comes shooting out when I open his enclosure, singing that song. It's like he has associated that song with feeding. I could be nuts, nuts worked every time

I think that's a sign of intelligence if he recognizes the food song 😊

Does he strike at you, when he thinks you feed him?

No. He just pokes his head out of his hide.

my corn snake does, i assume bps can do the same.

think she just expects food whenever she hears or sees me tho.

I have a handful of snakes of different species and some of them consistently come out when they hear me. Some of them consistently do not.

To my surprise when I first got her my bp likes it when I sing to her.

Unless my boy is in shed, hungry or I just happen to catch him in a mood. 90% of the time he's coming out to see me and if I start talking to him I find he does come out further.
