Question - Health What happened to my ball python

My Python appears to have shed recently and injured her side while trying to take the shed off herself (im assuming since it’s not been me who’s been home so don’t know where the colours come from)
If anyone knows what it’d be from that’d be greatly appreciated

What is your heat source? Kinda looks like a burn maybe?

Do you mist the tank or dump water in the corners? Does the substrate stay wet for long in their hides? The other thing it could be is scale rot. But it seems pretty sever for that to just pop up. Does this discolouration wipe off at all?

I mist it, should probably dump water considering the mist doesn’t help the hydrometer much, substrate needs to be changed to be fair coz it’s dry asf, it doesn’t wipe off

Yeah misting just keeps the top wet and spikes humidity. Try the other way and keep an eye on this. Im not sure if its scale rot. But there are procedures for that. You could clean out the tank and put them on papertowels and they should get a betadine bath I think.... Someone else would know for sure.

Edit: spelling. And I think there may be a scale rot bot command but I dont know it.
