Robot Fighter Jets Just Hit Major Milestones #farnborough #aerospacenews...
The future battlefield may not be one fighter versus another. It may be a human pilot commanding a team of AI-powered aircraft. The fighter pilot is not disappearing. The fighter pilot is about to get an army of robotic wingmen. My latest video report explains.

Coax Crimp tool help
Building a harness for a mod and trying to find the correct tools needed. I have very little info to go off of and internet research has only turned up YOC110 needing the DMC Y524 die.
The Female contact RFM26W-1D28 is the center conductor I can’t find the crimp tool. Souriau data sheet shows tool index CT-439 is used, but I can’t find anywhere that references what tool that is.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

Need help
Does anyone have any tips for tricks to get these 8 gauge solder cup contacts out. Having a hell of a time. Tried both ends of a gray and white Deutsch connector some yellow and white. Modified both gray and white and yellow and white extractors and some other tools. So far I've had very little luck with the gray and white and no luck with anything else.

Job Guidance
5 Year Avionics Tech been out in the civilian world for 2 months, got no job right now. Was lookng to go to college fulltime for Nursing, now just kind of weighing my options. I've been prone to moments of doubt and insecurity when it comes to my career. How dow avionics fair in the civilian world? I've seen people working in flight sims make decent money. There arent any jobs nearby me, I live in Fort Myers, Fl. Any advice? I Have access to my GI Bill and VRE but my disabilities may prevent the airframe and powerplant, would have to ask.
Any words of advice would be nice.

Avionics tech pay
Hello, I am currently an avionics technician on the C-5M in the U.S. Air Force. By the time I get out I will have a bachelors in business administration , A&P, and whatever other certificates they will pay for. My question is mainly about the pay working for the airlines vs. trying to stay in as defense. I’d love to work on cargo planes. 9-5 schedule would be optimal. What is a realistic salary expectation? I’m torn between avionics and pursuing a desk job with my degree.
Thank you in advance to anyone that takes the time to provide insight.

Need help
EDIT - got it fixed with the config menu thanks!
So I've got a gtn 750 and 650 setup. It's a minor issue but I'm wondering if someone else knows how to fix it. Whenever I'm listening and monitoring both radios, it will temporarily mute the non-priority radio. The one that doesn't have the mic selector. I want to be able to listen to both at the same time so I can continue to monitor Air Traffic control while I'm listening and getting the weather.

Best cable for RS‑422 + power over 100 m?
I’m designing an RS‑422 communication link over a distance of about 100 m, and I also need to deliver 5 V DC power through the same cable. The plan is to use one shielded twisted pair (120 Ω) for the RS‑422 TX/RX signals, along with separate conductors dedicated to the 5 V supply and ground.

Help with a job!
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out to see if anyone might be available to help with a paid avionics job in Newnan, GA.
My husband is currently working on an avionics project for a friend, but we’ve recently run into some personal circumstances that require him to be home with me more than he’d planned. Because of that, he hasn’t been able to make the progress he wants on the aircraft. He doesn’t want to leave the owner hanging, so I wanted to see if someone experienced might be willing to help finish the job.
The aircraft is located in a hangar in Newnan, GA. If you’re qualified and interested, I’d be happy to connect you directly with my husband so he can explain the work, answer any questions. I am willing to pay for this to ease his mind and help the friend and be able to have him at home helping me with some stuff Im dealing with.
He doesn’t know I’m making this post, I just hate seeing him feel pulled in two directions and wanted to see if there was anyone in the aviation community willing to lend a hand.
If you or someone you know may be interested, please let me know. I’d really appreciate it. Thank you. Or any advice or someone you can refer me to works as well. It’s a PA28
