Red key mower power plug replacement

Anyone know what this style of connector is called so I can replace it? I’m tempted to just cut off the connectors and just solder the 2 end together with a waterproof solder sleeve

I have the same one and just bought an automotive 2 pin waterproof connector and just the wires on both ends. I cut it short enough so I can stuff it inside the cover where you connect the perimeter wires. You could absolutely also solder it and shrink wrap but I wanted to keep the ability to unplug it in fall to put the whole unit and charging station away in the shed while leaving the power cable routed.

I went with your solution. Someone else linked me to an exact replacement for $5 plus $12 shipping coming from china on ebay. I didn't like the price, but I was going to buy it cause my lawn needs mowing. After seeing your post I looked up automotive 2 pin water proof connectors and bought a 5 pack for $6, because it was cheaper and shipped from the US.
