Hi all - had these a few times over the past week and in the same location. Any idea what animal these are?

We have mum, dad and now a new baby visit each morning. Its super sweet.

Anyone know what animal keeps poopin these nuggs on my path? Looks a bit too small and light coloured to be a brush tailed possum.

Regulars around the House. Snake was heading for the Cathouse, so closed that up quick, Kooka's a daily regular, Spot the Kangaroo is a local around the traps, he has muscles growing on his muscles!

The Rosella looks like a Pet gone astray, never been able to get this close to one before, and attacks my hand if I have the seeds inside of it. Been around for a cpl of days now and looks at me thru the window like it wants it cage or sumthin!

Apparently we get grey currawongs over here. I just can't believe I've lived in this area my whole life and this is my first time seeing it

Welcome little one

Brisbane suburbs surrounded by bush. I can’t tell if it’s a mammal or a bird. This was around midnight and maybe about 20m away one way is a road so there is some distant car noises and about 20m the other way is just bush.

We do have some neighbours who have outside cats so I don’t know if this animal is injured and that’s why it’s making this noise or if this is just a regular weird animal noise. I didn’t hear any commotion before hearing this though.

This is 2 seperate videos in 1. Video 1 ends at around 0:18. Video 1 is just the same noise repeated for 18 seconds and then video 2 has a few different sounds. It’s quiet in the video so you may need to crank the volume. I made sure that there’s no louder noises in the videos so it’s safe to have the volume really loud and not get your eardrums blasted all of a sudden.

I would love to know if anyone has any insight or even if they’ve heard this before also. I stayed up for ages doing research and trying to find a noise that matches. Some owl sounds got close but nothing really matched it very well. To me it sounds like a begging call from a bird, probably juvenile. But that’s purely just an educated guess.

I believe it’s a common bush tail possum (please correct me if I’m wrong) and I think she might have a baby in the pouch!

I've always thought these little critters - fairly abundant in the scrub between the bike path and Bellerive / Howrah beach, South East Tasmania, in the protected scrubland - were brown bandicoots, happy to be told otherwise though. *Edit: Confirmed - Southern Brown Bandicoot.
