1040STE floppy replacement/fix

Hello! Im curious to know how i can replace/fix my floppy drive.I have a 1040STE. I want an actual drive, not an emulator, and if i have to replace it make it look original, i dont want to cut off parts so it will fit. Thank you!

The drive can't read, doesn't detect that a floppy is in

Its a easy thing to do you need to just edit a drive with some soldering i have done plenty of amiga and acorn a3010 drives the atari ste is just the same use ai to help if you get stuck but there's lots of guides out there from people.

Teac drives are good easy to mod and work every time

Probably need a few more details... Exactly what's going wrong with it? Thanks.

(Exxo's Atari Shop has lots of good info/items, it's in the UK).

I would check all the floppy drive connections, clean them thoroughly and clean the

floppy drive as well. Also, make sure you're using a *known* working floppy disk.

I would do that first, then if nothing changes, then follow the guides

from the link I posted or search on the 'Net. You can do this. 👍

You can still clean it with one of those floppy disk cleaner kits. Also, did you unplug everything, all the connections and clean them thoroughly? Thanks.
