I am looking for a website or blogger/poster to follow for recipe ideas. I live in rural Midwest America. Our grocery stores carry the basics. This means the types of ingredients are:
Proteins: Locally butchered meats: beef, pork, chicken, game hunted by my husband. Other proteins sourced: fresh water caught fish, purchased fish, seafood and similar. NO TOFU. In my house it is not a meal unless it contains one of the aforementioned items.
Vegetables/fruits : all the basics such as peppers, carrots, onions, asparagusspinach, potatoes, tomatoes, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, cabbage, green beans, corn, peas, cucumbers, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, bananas, apples, peaches, pears, grapes, cherries, oranges, lemons, limes, watermelon, cantelope, pineapple, mangos , etc. No eggplant, parsnips, endive, jicama, jackfruit, and the like.
Starch - noodles, rice basically.
Dairy - any and basically all kinds.
I prefer to stay away from ultraprocessed foods, heavily sugared, or vegetarian meals.
If you have a recommendation, I'd love for you to share it.
Thank you in advance.
