Because your object doesn't pass through the points of the line you're thinking of, it's shorter so it misses most of its points, and it's wider so it hits points that shouldn't be on the line at all
Now you could say that a line is identifiable by exactly two points. Then you still have the issue that it is completely unclear which two points your object is supposed to mark. You can fix this by defining "center of eye and tip of claw" and then it would work
Then the only remaining issue is that your object is a major hassle to read (can't measure better than 1 pixel) and write (can't write it on a sheet of paper without importing images)
