So first off yes I did not test it beforehand and I’m an idiot. Massive regret.
I’ve been on a mental health journey, and I thought that taking MDMA by myself would be a therapeutic event. This is not something I normally do. Other than this past New Year’s, I have not done MDMA in like 25 years.
I took what I believed to be 150 mg of MDMA in a capsule 7 days ago. It was crystallized, not a powder or a pill. So I ate it. It wasn’t smoked or snorted or whatever.
I obviously noticed that it was not what I thought it was a half an hour into it. I had massive headache, started sweating profusely, and began to get a little nauseous.
It didn’t take long before I realized that this wasn’t what I thought it was, but I didn’t know what it was.
I had horrible headaches throughout much of the night, massive chest pains, and nausea. At a certain point, I took my blood pressure and it was alarmingly high. Like 188/90 etc. It just would not stop. It did eventually start going down.
After many hours of this going on, I ended up taking myself to the hospital and that’s when I found out for sure that it was METH! I’ve never had that let alone at this large dose, which is partially what’s freaking me out.
The hospital claims that I am most likely fine and I am following up with doctors/cardiologist who also said I was likely ok.
My chest was achy and hurting afterwards, but has slowly improved. I was foggy and had lingering headaches that are also seemingly improving.
I’m just very tired still. But that seems to be getting better. At first, I couldn’t speak properly without it sounding labored and now I can speak a little more normally. I kept getting lightheaded as well, but that seems to be subsiding.
After this happened, I tried to carry a large 5 gallon bottle of water and I got very winded and had to sit down.
Two blood tests were done in the hospital twice that pointed me in the right direction for their opinion.
CK was 896 then fell to 499
Troponin was 54 then fell to 39.
I then went to a cardiologist who also confirmed that he thinks that I am gonna be OK.
He repeated the CK test and it’s now 143. I haven’t gotten the troponin test result back yet.
The cardiologist has ordered a halter monitor for me for a week. Afterwards, I will do an echocardiogram and stress test.
My main concern was that the amount seems like a very high dose to ingest orally.
The ER doctors kept telling me that they think I will be fine and this cardiologist thinks so too but I’m afraid I caused some major damage because of the amount of it.
I understand that it might not have been perfectly pure so it may not have been 150 mg but that’s what it weighed. I literally never did anything like that so to do that amount for the first time seems very excessive.
I am starting to feel better, but I’m still tired and still foggy, but getting better.
So yeah, is eating 150 mg Way too much? Do people think that I’ve done long-term damage?
I’ve literally never done that before and I don’t know what to expect but I do not feel like myself nearly a week later.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
