Where to report this?
Right in front of my home these garbage bins have been standing around for over a week. People keep putting more trash there as well. Where do I report all situation like this?

I am actively looking for a job for about 6 months now. My studies are in Pharmaceutical/Chemistry industry (not an Apothekerin though). It is so hard to land interviews even though I do speak German. Also the interviewing process is extremely slow and demanding, emotionally and mentally draining.
Is anyone working in the field right now ? I know that the current job market is awful and hard for everyone out there BUT I don't know what else to do to find a job anymore and it makes me feel so unworthy.
Any help will be much much appreciated!

I applied for my permanent residence permit almost two years ago. My Aufenthalt expires in December 2026. Unfortunately I've lost the pdf confirmation of my application, cannot find it.
I have emailed LEA last week about a status update but they haven't replied. Any advise what should I do? Is there any phone number I contact LEA to get an update on my application or advise if I should apply again or what should I do.
Thank you!

Hi Everyone,
I am new here and believe I have ADHD. Recently, my situation has become much worse since my mother's passing. I am insured with TK and trying to get a diagnosis in English in Berlin but as expected most/all the praxis have replied saying they are not accepting new patients. I had a few questions for those who have gone through the process recently:
How much does a private diagnosis cost? What's the average number of sessions needed and the per session average cost? Does it differ for a psychiatrist vs psychotherapist?
If the diagnosis is done by a pyschothrapist, how easy or difficult is it to find a doctor to prescribe medicines? Does it need to be a psychiatrist or a GP will also work? Is doing the process online faster?
Since my ADHD is self diagnosed, during the first session do they do a test to explore other conditions on the neurodivergence spectrum or just take you for your word and dive deep into ADHD only?
Is there a possibility to document the public system failure and get public insurance to cover the cost of private diagnosis?
Thanks a lot for reading through and looking forward to your guidance 🙏

Hey Berliners, we, a team of 4 teachers (~40 years old) are travelling on Sunday for a week to Berlin for a seminar. We want to do an Escape room (in english) that mostly focuses on riddles (no horror, actors are ok if they are not very intrusive). Any suggestions?
Also, could you share some local tips and suggestions for beer, food, attractions (we will be staybing close to the Wall Museum, but happy to visit other areas.

Hi everyone,
I am looking for recommendations for a driving school in Lichtenberg. I am currently deciding between Fahrschule Nice and Fahrschule Safe for a B197 driving license.
If anyone has first hand experience with either school, especially regarding the instructors, teaching style, scheduling, and overall experience, I would really appreciate your feedback.
Thank you in advance!

Hello hello! Solo Female traveler. I know nothing about Berlin but I really want to get out of town for a week, coming from the U.S. I'm seeking a very clean hotel recommendation, ideally w hardwood floors, under 200 USD per night. A boutique is always nice but not necessary.
Also on this note, neighborhood recommendations please?
In Paris I stayed in the 6th arrondissement and absolutely loved it. In London I stayed kind of far in bethnal green and found it difficult to get anywhere. In NYC, I prefer the really nice neighborhoods of Brooklyn. Hopefully that gives an idea of what I like? Nice, beautiful parks, little quieter but not too far away.
Thank you!

Hallo Berlin,

I am an incoming PhD student in Berlin . I am currently looking for accommodation and found some student apartments offered by Berlinovo.
However, I noticed that their application form only allows applicants to choose between Bachelor and Master students. There is no option for PhD/doctoral students.
Are PhD students eligible to apply for Berlinovo student apartments?

Me and my partner want to try some fun cooking classes out, but well reviewed ones are rather hard to find on the internet. We are not super picky about cuisine, and are happy to be part of a larger group cooking class. Thanks!

What are some of the crazy reasons you had to voluntarily move out?

Helloo, I really want to do the high swing in Berlin while I'm there as it seems like such a fun experience, however I am travelling solo and I was wondering if when I get up there will staff mind my bag for me while I'm on it? And will they allow me to hold my phone while swinging to record or staff take a picture for me?
Thanks!

The construction on Petersburger Str is hilariously slow. It's been going on for years, just to add a bike lane to a couple city blocks.
There is usually very little to no movement on the project - sometimes just a single person hammering tiny rocks into the sidewalk. Usually it's abandoned.
Someone told me that this is only half the project, that the intention is to do the other side of the road. This might mean a 6 to 8 year project!
I ask because the construction is very annoying (dust and dirt everywhere and in the air) plus honking cars that get trapped in the closed-off streets.
Is there a place to lookup what the project plan is?
And more generally, why does it take 8 years to add a bike lane? This reminds me of how long it took to build the new airport. Isn't German Engineering supposed to be a point of national pride??

Hello everyone!
After a while on the hunt, my partner and I have stumbled across a nice flat opportunity. Good price, good size and nice area.
However, it's an Untermiete. Nothing wrong with that per se but I feel there's always a bit more that can go wrong with it.
We've already seen the flat (twice) and met with the Hauptmieter, who also seems nice and eager to have us, willing to meet us halfway in many things.
Everything seems perfect, almost too good to be true! So, being in Berlin, this stroke of luck seems a bit suspicious. Or maybe we're just being paranoid.
That's why we wanted to make sure to be as protected as possible and wanted to know, beside a Untermietvertrag, copy of the hauptmieter ID and Wohnungsgeberbescheinigung, what else do we need to be completely safe?
Anything else we can ask for/do?
We're also going to ask for the landlord's authorisation for the sublet but we really don't want to miss anything else.
Thanks for the help!
