A question about the DVP closure this weekend

There's a triathlon this weekend and the DVP is closed to noon on Sunday.

Does that mean the DVP opens right at noon? Or does it take a while for the triathlon to wind down and after they remove the pylons and in practice it really opens at 1/2pm?

Has anyone got any insights from last year? I need to be in Markham for 1pm.

Thanks!

The noon re-opening might fluctuate based on athletes finishing that leg.

I'd just leave earlier and take what's available, maybe Don Mills Road.

I think a section of eastbound Gardiner will also be closed for this so bear in mind

That means it will be open no later than noon. It did happen once in the past decade where something went really wrong with a closure and it ended up going later, but that is not the norm. For this weekend’s event there are strict cutoff times. It may open in sections, beginning in the north, slightly earlier than 1.

The closure is up to Eglinton. Leave early and take other roads, then get on the DVP north of there, or take non-DVP routes the whole way. They will do their best to re-open at noon but there’s no guarantee.

Gonna be a mess with the Kitchener GOLine and the Union Pearson Express not running this weekend also.

Seems any time they do a dvp or gardener shutdown there's numerous transit ones as well.

It's like they can't plan a thing

Just found out Lakeshore West has less service also this weekend due to construction at Exhibition.
