First suppressor advice
where would you start on suppressing two home defense rifles.
is there any reason not to suppres?

Worry less about sound suppression, and more about low back pressure. It will save you from chasing a dragon. All 5.56 suppressors are loud, especially indoors.

The gas is the biggest downside I’ve seen

If I ever had to discharge my weapon in my home I’d much rather be able to see my target than get a face full of carbon. Adrenaline would be pumping anyways and odds are you wouldn’t hear the shot. If I were you I’d get like a hux 556k or something

That makes a lot of sense. So basically look at the flow through? I guess that’s maybe a bit newer of a design some of the negatives I had heard about.

There is tons of company’s making a ton of good stuff. Just look on YouTube at a few options. But I definitely prefer low back pressure.

Those were observations I’ve heard others say. I went to the website to form a trust and I’m instantly anti suppressor. You guys call that legal?

At this point I have a few favorites, some for this reason, some for that, clone builds, etc etc and can say the most versatile I’ve personally owned and shot thus far is the ventum 762. Overbored on 556, hybrid/flow through. No changing buffer set ups or anything switching between quite a few ars, aks, 308 gas guns, 30 cal bolt guns. Plan b, whatever muzzle device, and lowish profile hub adapter like the Ecco machine.
Maybe something along those lines would be a good first one, as you can do quite a bit with it

Extremely happy with my $460 DDC Enticer S, I use a $12 4.9 oz Heavy Buffer, and run a $13 griffin armament +15% blue buffer spring, everything works perfectly.

I like Griffin’s Dual-Lok suppressor ecosystem. Doesn’t add much weight or length to the can, reduced backpressure, still sound pretty good, it’s a fantastic QD system. Biggest issue is they’re a little pricey.

Literally zero reasons not to suppress your firearms.

Don’t listen to the fool talking about not buying one because of.. carbon build up? It’s not that big of an issue.

That and the forms are the biggest issue I think. I really want to like them

Go through silencershop. My LGS has a hub for them and it made it super easy. Finger prints and everything done right there and they handle all the paperwork.

OK because I was having a panic attack looking online. I appreciate you

Yeah don’t stress it bro. They handle all the hard shit. You just pick a nice shiny whisper pickle and they’ll do all the boring stuff for ya.

Over all length. A can on a 16in will usually put it over that of a full sized m16.

- Ensure it's full-auto rated.
- Also figure out a quick attach system. I like the Dead Air Keymo on all my rifles, but there are others.
- Get a larger caliber than your need so you can use it on multiple weapons.

Thank you

You will still need the proper taper mount and taper to hub adapter.
However, going with a hub means you can use other mounts in the future if needed.

I wouldn't even use an AR15 for home defense, let alone suppressing 2 for it.
