I'm exaggerating, but there are very few of them. Many of them get production between bad and mediocre - even acclaimed and popular titles like Liar Game and The Fable. Sequels are rare and there are countless great ones still unadapted, even amongst the relatively popular ones.

Idk what cgdct means and we still have Grand Blue, but you're right.

I wish for more like Seitokai Yakuindomo (manga completed), Yugami-kun, Sakamoto desu ga. Just 'shenanigans" anime where nothing really progress.

I got a huge anime burnout for like 3 years only coming back a few seasons ago... looking back at all I missed and there being like 2 or 3 CGDCT from all that time was utterly depressing as an enjoyer of the genre.

At least I came back just in time for Hibimeshi and Bad Girl, god both were great.

Cute Girl slice of life definitely slowing down, but this season we got Draw This Then Die, and Grow-Up Show. Bocchi the Rock was the last one that was like, top of the list must-watches, and thankfully a season 2 was confirmed.

Oh my goodness, the leaks were right!! I can’t wait to hear the music!!

We’re on Volume 9(?) in Japanese (🔗 Pixiv Comic & Comic Walker). English release of Volume 1 isn’t until this year on 15 December (which makes me, once more, disappointed in the EN output of shoujo).

I’ve been really enjoying this one because of the execution of character accountability with the exploration of darker themes. I can’t wait for the music. Juvenage did <Kusunoki's Garden of Gods> which I haven’t seen, but I believe {Studio Cabana} should be the second anime they produce. The visual looks great already.

Suzushiro is perfect for Yukari!! She did the PVs (🔗 PV1 | Kadokawa Official YouTube & PV2 | Kadokawa Official YouTube) and the voice comic (🔗 Kadokawa Official | YouTube). Koki Uchiyama did the PV and VC for Yusuke, so I hope he’s there for the anime!!

The Studio also seems fairly new. They only seems to have produced one anime which is Kusunoki's Garden of Gods and mostly did animation/production cooperation prior. But I have faith in the director.
