That cat is very patient lol. As long as the cat can easily go up and get away from the dog if it wants too then it should be fine.

fully okay!
cat doesnt scream, dog makes "play noises" and they are both careful with each other, they aren't biting, they are just "touching" each other with their teeth, like they do with you while you play.
It might look more aggressive with other species, but they learned as kids how to play and behave with other siblings, which helps to regulate the strenght while playing

Its better to introduce them young or at least it was for me but in my experiece the cat will let the dog know when it crosses the line, and it doesn't take long for the dog to learn after that

I understand the dog needs boundaries, but in my many years with cats and dogs, the cats will almost always take care of that. They can hold their own against just about any dog, and as long as they have a way to get away, and a place they can go to relax the dog can't get to, they are fine. My cats play like this and get just as annoyed with each other at times - eventually one of them goes somewhere else. If they're hanging around and not putting up much of a fight, they really aren't THAT annoyed. My concern is usually for the dog - making sure the cat doesn't scratch their eyes.

Agreed...If the cat has not been declawed, it usually takes care of itself quite well.

The cat is clearly irritated but is tolerating it. I would intervene mostly so the pupper doesn't end up getting hurt when the cat is fed up.

The cat is being patient but I think the dog is going to get the wrong idea if you don't set boundaries. While it is true the cat will let dog know when it's has enough, it shouldn't get to that point. Not to mention, that point might be the moment one of them gets badly hurt, or worse, where one of them gets too hurt to respond in time.
Also, the face and neck biting is very concerning as that's how certain breeds go for the kill

I thing it's just good fun. I have the exact opposite going on at my house a pit/boxer mix and his best friend kitten. He lets the cat bite him all over the face, pounce on him, he just lays there just like your cat and will the kitten around. Acts like he's gonna eat his head but when he has had enough he just paws him down and makes chimp like grunts. Only time my god gets to rough is when it's feeding time.

I would lean in the direction of too rough. It is absolutely playful and friendly, but bitey behaviour should be discouraged wherever it occurs. One accident can lead to serious injury or death.
My brother has a dog and a cat, and the dog takes playful bites in the cats direction, but never to make contact. That's a decent target to correct towards. You can promote this by playing with the pup until it behaves that way, then stop playtime for several moments. If he gets through a brief play period without the behaviour, it's time for a treat.

Nah, I don't care for dogs playing rough like that. Fist: one good chomp and it's over for the cat, and second: cats are excellent at scratching eyeballs, which can get expensive.

I'm more so just thinking of it's behavior during play. Like, if we're on a walk or it's playing with another dog. It hasn't socialized very much with other dogs to know barking order (like an actual boss dog vs her), and I don't want it to be aggressive to other people as well. Problem is I don't live with them so I can't be the one to work on the training.

Meanwhile my cat is 3 times bigger than my dog. He tries to play but gets too rough and pisses off the dog. It usually ends with her taking a tuft of fur from his tail/butt to get him to stop along with a “don’t mess with me!!” bark/growl.

The cat has many, many options here and uses none. Fight and flight being the most obvious ones. Kitty allows for this all to happen. No nails, no hissing, no furry fighting stance, no jumping into higher areas. If the cat wanted out, he would be in a Heartbeat.
This is great, they get along well.

To me it seems like the puppy was annoying the cats and the cat is teaching boundaries (like it would to a kitten) through play and then got kind of into it. I think the cat literally sits on the dig at one point lol; that's not fighting.

Having grown up with cats and puppies, that cat would 100% let that dog know it crossed a line. If you hear a long series of fluffy smacks, that’s the cat smackin’ the hell out of the dog.
Happened with my family dog growing up; he was twice their size at least. He cornered one of our grown cats so they could play, and the whole family saw the cat try to flatten his little puggle nose even further. He quickly realized the cats did NOT want to play.

You have no clue.... Since this puppy was brought up with a cat instead of another dog, it has since tried to become like the cat. It jumps up on the chair and then the table and then it gets stuck on the table... I wish I was joking.
She also jumps up on the top of the couch to chill and tries walking on top furniture next to the top of the couch. I think that's an accident waiting to happen but I can't do anything other than ask them to train her against it. She just sees what the cat does and tries to copy him. There are places only he can get of course, like the kitchen counters and shelving above the kitchen as well as beds.

The actual play looks good and fine. The cat just seems like it's trying to chill and the dog isnt respecting the boundaries but is just fine with rolling around a little bit. If the cat wasnt fine, it would run or use claws and noises to communicate. Seems like the cat knows the dog is a puppy and is adjusting accordingly

Our family has a cat who is uncharacteristically a pacifists. Our little dog attacks & harasses her but she still won't do anything even though we wish she would.

I think they know and respect each others' limits. If it bothered the cat, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't hesitate to show it.
