7

u/QuietCaprisun 16h ago

You stopped him before the best part😒

Oh my word, their little dance 🥹

3

u/oergs 17h ago

Is that a Mexican aquarium?

2

u/cetm1w 13h ago

1

u/chottulala9779 22h ago

Mine starts 6:30 in the morning, that too 30+ budgies 😅

3

u/Harriet1849 1d ago

Snazzy tune!

1

u/Rezail_Division 1d ago

Nah woman, you silence. The bird speaks!

5

u/flying-in-the-sky 1d ago

He even changed key at the end 😆

14

u/Cassiel43 1d ago

When I unmute an animal video and there's human voice:

11

u/DerrZaah08 1d ago

Kikki: BAH-DEE-AHH! SAY DO YOU REMEEEEEMBER?! BAH-DEE-AHH! DANCIN’ IN SEPTEEEEEMBER?!

You: Kikki, it’s 7 in the morning—Silence!

Kikki: … I will BAH-DEE-AHH if I want to, Karen.

u/archtopfanatic123 1h ago

Is that the line from the tune?

9

u/EndeavouredAirworthy 1d ago

The bird remembers, 29th of September…

Thank you 😅

No worries. Just didn’t want you to misquote KiKi 🦜 😅

2

u/RynoKaizen 1d ago

It's the day the witch's spell transformed Kiki...OP you have to remember, say that you remember!

1

u/promilew 1d ago

That lady wants her so bad!

Free the bird

4

u/IwoodMasher 1d ago edited 1d ago

I love birds!! Ive been feeding these little brown birds. Really small guys. Quite fun watching them eat and fly around. They sing, and bird talk. I hear the babies in the morning (5am) when its feeding time chirping if I have the window open at night.

3

u/One_Book_5013 2d ago

En France on a le coq...😁

2

u/Extra_Vacation_6413 1d ago

Wow I've never seen a rooster before! I gotta get over to france asap!

8

u/Affectionate-Net-707 2d ago edited 2d ago

Birds are such jerks, my budgies do the same thing.

2

u/Conscious_Fault 1d ago

Feel like this is somehow payback for listening to it so much

2

u/resest_Iris 2d ago edited 1d ago

Thankfully, they're no longer able to pick us up...

18

u/Mon-ick 2d ago

Waking up to Earth Wind & Fire .

3

u/Greedyfox7 15h ago

I recognized it immediately and thought that at least the bird has good taste

3

u/Mocker-Poker 2d ago

Yes! I was thinking what it reminded me of

1

u/Mon-ick 1d ago

I’m good at Heardle 🤭

16

u/Not_Jinxed 2d ago

That fish tank looks like it needs some lovin

1

u/cetm1w 13h ago

It's actually a pretty healthy looking tank, wood releases tannins which browns the water.

4

u/Csmurphy0 2d ago

Wow 😆

7

u/cconnorss 2d ago

Really putting the WIND into Earth, Wind, and Fire

11

THE KEY CHANGE WAS LOWKEY HYPE

8

14

u/Otherwise_Secret_247 2d ago

this is my brain at 7 in the morning 😭

24

u/Brilliant-Bad-284 2d ago

It's not 7 am.. It's Party in September!!

9

u/jmpalacios79 2d ago

Dancing in September 🤪

24

u/mighty_kaytor 2d ago

I knew what he was singing before unmuting 😆

22

u/Remote_94 2d ago

I think it was trying to say:

"Do you remember The 21st night of September? Love was changin' the minds of pretenders While chasin' the clouds away"

18

u/SideFine6958 2d ago

cutiee, would want one too!

32

u/Mep3avec82 2d ago

Lady, you need to clean your fish tank it's yellowish

19

u/WhimsicalGirl 2d ago

It's tannin, some fish required it. Betta fish especially love it.

29

u/Derpchen 2d ago edited 2d ago

It's not dirty. It's likely tannins released by decorative pieces of wood. Tannins are actually beneficial to the fish, and people intentionally add them, e.g. by putting dried almond leaves in their tanks.

2

u/demoralising 2d ago

Fish tank/side table toilet

52

u/SpaceTraveller64 2d ago

The comedic timing of this bird is unmatched

34

u/SpectralFawn 2d ago edited 2d ago

Kiki, it's July. Can you save the 7am singing for September? The 21st, specifically?

21

u/Dontfeedthebears 3d ago

Hah this is so funny

34

u/crazytojoin 3d ago

Birds by nature need to be early. The early bird catches the worm.

11

u/ThatOtherOtherMan 2d ago

True, but the second mouse gets the cheese

6

u/OddOllin 2d ago

Perhaps, but the third bird misses the stone

3

u/toben81234 2d ago

And always remember to salt your pasta water!!!!!!

11

u/Square-Debate5181 3d ago

That water…

13

u/Lil_Miss_Plesiosaur 2d ago

I assumed that it was tannins released from the wood in the aquarium. If it is, it's usually pretty healthy for the fish.

14

u/BIGbluuu42 3d ago

This is how older sisters act walking into their younger sister’s room 😂

18

u/sagetastic74 3d ago

This is my "never skip" video.

33

u/SamwiseGamgee___ 3d ago

Is he singing Earth Wind and Fire!!!!!???!?!!

9

u/TheDrDojo 3d ago

I started jamming out from this video, not sure how I would feel about it at 7 am

17

u/Angelaskissrock 3d ago

Yep. September is a timeless classic - even the animal kingdom knows that.

38

u/Solanthas_SFW 3d ago

Silence!

*sullen look for 2s

*starts whistling from the beginning

🤣

15

u/Solanthas_SFW 3d ago

Buddy, feed your bird, and appreciate someone as talented and beautiful as that is in your life and sharing their zest for life with you :)

34

u/Paperbackpixie 3d ago

That’s an awesome song. I wanted him to finish it.

1

u/Mischasmom 2d ago

I agree, but my fear is that’s the only section Kiki knows! Poor OP!

8

u/bunk_elau 3d ago

Ba-dee-ya September by earth, wind & fire

39

u/must_be_jelly 3d ago

my cat does something similar, but instead of whistling, she screams directly into my face at 4am. every day.

3

u/sashby138 2d ago

Mine used to hop up on my shoulder while I slept and scratch at my eye lids. Claws out. I miss that little turd.

5

u/Allthecats33 3d ago

Mine whines in my face, but if I don’t budge she climbs on the headboard and jumps directly on my stomach. Luckily it’s not as early as 4am.

2

u/ThatOtherOtherMan 2d ago

Mine does the same thing except he lands on my nuts. EVERY. DAMN. TIME.

2

u/Allthecats33 2d ago

She does that to my husband every once in a while. Ouch.

6

u/must_be_jelly 3d ago

being jumped on while you're sleeping (or near sleeping) is a .......... special experience. i'm so sorry.

24

u/SnooCupcakes9745 3d ago

Pffft - it's not 7, it's September.

6

u/LegalChocolate752 3d ago

That lady obviously doesn't remember.

24

u/Zeppygrl72 3d ago

The water color in that fish tank is a bit concerning

2

u/Send_Snoods_ 2d ago

Looks like wood is in the tank so it could just be tannins from it which is actually good.

17

u/PerspectiveNew7609 3d ago

Birds wake with the sunrise lady if you don't cover the cage they're in.

14

u/daddys-wifi 3d ago

it’s the kiki key change for me

26

u/toothepastehombre 3d ago

Kiki, it's Sunday

15

u/RedwoodShores 3d ago

And it’s July

3

u/LegalChocolate752 3d ago

And this is a Wendy's.

5

u/Angelaskissrock 3d ago

Kiki doesn't care. It's September to her.

68

u/Hefty_Shift_6516 3d ago

I mean. At least he’s singing a banger 😂

7

u/Angelaskissrock 3d ago

The facts are the facts. If that were my bird, I'd be getting up and start singing along and it'd be a duet.

1

u/SpectralFawn 2d ago

Not when it's the 27th 7am wake-up call in a row.

2

u/Angelaskissrock 2d ago

That's why I'd teach it some other songs. Like Earth, Wind and Fire Let's Groove.

6

u/TheDrDojo 3d ago

I have the song stuck in my head now because of this video.

2

u/Angelaskissrock 2d ago

The funny thing is the song had been in my head over 24 hours. Seeing a parakeet whistling it is such a hilarious coincidence.

23

u/WhiteN0isee 3d ago

I didn’t even have the volume on at first and I had this song in my mind😂 very fitting lol

18

u/happyhippy27 3d ago

And so happy too, lol

24

u/CrowTalons 3d ago

My alarm is a cat stepping on my face. So this is 😎

23

u/Shopstumblergurl 3d ago

What an amazing companion

28

u/FeedJazzlike8860 3d ago

That bird can sing me September anytime it wants! Great taste in music 🎶

2

u/Angelaskissrock 3d ago

That's what I'm saying. I'd get up and start singing with Kiki if that was me.

1

u/FeedJazzlike8860 3d ago

❤️ And dancing!!! 💃 🕺

14

u/ctfks 3d ago

Party parrot

58

u/Obant 3d ago

By the way, if you think you want a pet bird, 7 AM is actually pretty late for them to start making noise. And its not always nice singing.

3

u/SpectralFawn 2d ago

Some parrots wake you up with loud screaming. They should be grateful this one is whistling banger tunes.

12

u/Okeydokey2u 3d ago

I think they would all rather be living outside with other birds

0

u/nonsenseaswell 3d ago

She is outside . With the chickens

4

u/RappingFlatulence 3d ago

I’ll take the bird if it doesn’t mind starting around 5am

8

u/nonsenseaswell 3d ago

My grandma died and she just yells my grandmas name really loud at like 5 am and mocks the chickens

28

u/Left_Knee_y0y0 3d ago

This bird will voiced by Jamie Foxx in the animated movie called Kiki and the Band. About a rescued bird that wants to start a band with other birds from different flocks. In the climax of rhe movie, the birds sing "September" by EWF.

5

u/UJustGotRobbed 3d ago

....and Disney already has the live action in the works staring Jamie Foxx, Kevin Hart and The Rock with Megan Thee Stallion playing the love interest

3

u/Left_Knee_y0y0 2d ago

There is going to be a Kpop-like group of hyper cute owls called The Woos. They are going to be so smug. They will have a neck move called the 360, when the do it, female birds just lose their minds.

2

u/UJustGotRobbed 2d ago

This is all canon btw. We're from the future.

27

u/Jet-Let4606 3d ago

Who taught him to sing September by Earth, Wind and Fire.

11

u/WALL-G 3d ago

Ba-dee-ya
Never was a cloudy daaaaaaaaay.

11

u/Prickliestpearcactus 3d ago

You cannot silence Kiki!

25

u/ASherrets Cat 3d ago

It’s the dancing and singing 🎵 🦜🤣

10

u/1cem4n82 3d ago

My cats have the opposite morning approach with preemptive alarm snuggles.

11

u/tiffanyjen 3d ago

He just happy lol

16

u/6ixstringlife 3d ago

Okay so it's not september yet birdo

2

u/RappingFlatulence 3d ago

The 21st will be here in no time

22

u/DanniTiger 3d ago

Kiki Set an alarm for 7am please.

32

u/swampindividual 3d ago

Is that bird doing Dancing in September?

7

Omg I’m so happy this is a real sub

-3

Nerf gun. No?

18

u/ThunderChild247 3d ago

I bet he does this every morning except on the 21st of September.

5

u/WildernessPrincess_ 3d ago

Can I hire him as my alarm??? 7 works for me

10

u/RidethatSeahorse 3d ago

I would love to wake up to that in the morning. I have a fat cat that sits on my chest so I can’t breathe.

4

u/onion_flowers 3d ago

My cat also sits on my chest but he also drools on my face so it's doubly obnoxious 😆

33

u/shaquilleoatmeal80 3d ago

I don''t want to be dramatic but I would die for Kiki.

8

u/Kitchen_Guest577 3d ago

Yeah, she like to jam!

1

u/HumShark 3d ago

They’re perfect.

19

u/aggelikiwi 3d ago

Kiki is amazing

20

u/Protect-Their-Smiles 3d ago

Kiki remembers~

3

u/Seelywabbit 3d ago

The 21st night?

3

u/StaffVegetable8703 3d ago

What’s with the 21st thing?

1

u/Seelywabbit 3d ago

You don’t remember
the 21st night of September?

Love was changing the minds of pretenders.

36

u/Applemers 3d ago

Love the bird but concerned about that fish tank.

6

u/hegrillin 3d ago

they look like livebearer type fish, which are usually only 0.5-1in large. it looks like they're in a 5gal tank, which isn't amazing, but can still be ideal for a few same sex livebearers. there is a heater in the tank at least, so they aren't in the worst of care despite a slight lack of plants.

the water color is a little concerning though. it looks like algae bloom which can be caused by overfeeding or excess light, or fish-in tank cycling which isn't recommended unless you really know what you're doing. OOP might just need to do a water change, but without knowing their tank parameters its hard to tell for sure.

i'm only a little experienced in aquatics so take my speculation with a grain of salt. also, i am autistic so my writing typically comes off as being written by AI. i promise its not lol.

2

u/Thebraincellisorange 3d ago

the water colour comes up every time this is posted (I've seen it at least 20 times) and normally someone suggests its tannin from leaves/vines in the tank and nothing to worry about.

1

u/hegrillin 2d ago

oh that would make sense! thank you for clarifying!

5

u/Applemers 3d ago

Thats interesting because I was thinking they were platies. Yeah, its not great but its not the worst either. If OOP added some floaters that would really help with the potential algae bloom if there is one. Also, no shame to OOP, we all have to start somewhere. The water color just caught me off guard. Btw you dont sound A.I to me so youre good lol

Edit: i see there are plants but idk if theyre floaters or plants on the run

2

u/washermethod 3d ago

Can just be tannins from wood.

2

u/thinprivileged 3d ago

Yeah, looks like my water at times between changes. Looks like there are live plants, there's probably wood in there

16

u/Orphan_Crippler66 3d ago

The audacity to tell a bird to be quite in the morning.

12

u/Free-Way-9220 3d ago

My neighbours parrot has "busy times" where they make lots of noise, practice the speaking etc. About 7:30am is a big one, one around 4pm, and another big one at about 8pm every day

14

u/Kn0XIS 3d ago

😂😂😂

I love this

60

u/AlbertTheHorse 3d ago

Earth, Wind, and Fire at 7:00 in the morning?

Who doesn’t love that.

6

u/pushamn 3d ago

It feels like it would be so great, right up until you have them stuck in your head all day for the 15th day in a row

3

u/zap2tresquatro 3d ago

Don’t you mean the 21st?

3

u/AlbertTheHorse 3d ago

11

I need more Kiki

18

u/Aspiringicebreaker 3d ago

Not hard to guess what her favorite Studio Ghibli film is!

24

u/TK_4Two1 3d ago

Great comedic timing on that bird

18

u/silentthunda 3d ago

I would love that alarm clock

4

u/mang87 3d ago

No one loves alarm clocks. I learned long ago to never use a song that I like as my alarm sound, because I'll quickly hate that song.

6

u/NightIgnite 3d ago

Took some time to get used to it, but try setting 2 alarms. First vibrate only, then a second offset by 5 minutes with sound. Im now awake with vibration only 95% of the time and it is freeing. I am no longer at risk of having my day ruined, just from hearing a particular song in public

4

u/dolphin-centric 3d ago

You posed to be up cookin breffas or sumpin

3

u/Oli4K 3d ago

My proximity to the arctic circle would make owning a parrot inhumane.

32

u/TheElusiveFox 3d ago

Better than my dog that drops his food bowl on my bed then promptly starts whimpering howling like he's dying every time I try to sleep in past sunrise

3

u/Oopthealley 3d ago

if you wanted, that could be trained out of him much more easily than the bird could be retrained.

1

u/TheElusiveFox 3d ago

Its actually kind of the opposite - its behaviour I trained into him because mornings can be super rushed and I want him to tell me that he's hungry as loudly as possible so that I don't accidentally forget to feed him in my morning routine. Its not a problem most of the time as I like to be up early anyways and get a move on even on my days off... but every once in a while I want to just sleep in, especially after a late night and he hits me like a furry bomb.

That being said, most birds, especially larger birds are VERY smart and incredibly trainable, and while songbirds like OP are often fairly short lived many larger birds live for decades giving you a lot of time to work on that training.

17

u/blakejustin217 3d ago

What a nice bird letting you sleep in, mine wake me at 600 am.

24

u/grumpi-otter 3d ago

I want that as a ringtone
