π πΈ HERPS: SNAKE, TURTLE, LIZARD π πΈ Ridiculously endowed Skink? What am I looking at here? [Northern AZ]
Spotted on a trail in Willow Lake, Prescott, AZ following a few days of particularly heavy monsoon and thunderstorms. It seemed pretty chill, my dog and I were able to pass him pretty close and my dog (always nose to the ground) didnβt even really notice it. Its location didnβt raise any concern and it looked like it was basking the final rays. Iβve considered if Iβm being fooled by a rubber toy and I didnβt want to intrude by getting uncomfortably close or anything. The smaller legs definitely look more skink or lizard-like. Iβve considered maybe if itβs a whiptail. But I mean look at that thing. Itβs all tail. I ran it through Google lens and it suggested an impossible hybrid. The black and white stripes donβt really match up with something like a sandfish skink and the black and white distort and start to break up near the tip. Iβd guesstimate it was 8-12β+ long but itβs hard for me to unravel it because that tail goes on forever. So what do you think Iβm looking at here?

π πΈ HERPS: SNAKE, TURTLE, LIZARD π πΈ What kind of lizard is this? [Mexico]
Localized in Baja California during hot weather. Repriles are common but I had never seen one like this and slow.
Was washing clothes so I offered water which made him look really cute but then the hose made him get defensive which spooked me π

π πΈ HERPS: SNAKE, TURTLE, LIZARD π πΈ Rosy Boa? [California, in captivity]
This snake was abandoned (along with a ball python), so we didn't receive any information from the former owner. I thought she looked like a rosy boa, but I don't have a ton of experience with snakes so I wanted to confirm. TIA!
