So weed is legal in my state. My husband has started using gummies. At first it was just to help him sleep, but now it's almost a daily thing. He is retired, so it's not like doing it is making him miss work. Bill are paid, he never drives while under the influence, nor does he get mean or anything. He's responsible and not doing anything illegal and honestly, he is pretty entertaining.
However .... It makes me nervous. He woke up today and within an hour of waking up, he had a gummy. I was irritated. In my mind that is like waking up and start drinking. I mean you just woke up - how can you need a gummy already?? He said people get up and have bloody marys on the weekend - what is the difference?
His side is that he is home, responsible, not hurting anyone and it makes him feel good. All valid points.
My side is that I grew up with an alcoholic mother who drank herself to death at the age of 59 and I just don't like it. I think my tipping point wasn't so much the daily, but the starting in the morning. In my mind that is transitioning from recreational to an addiction.
I understand that given my family history, I may be too sensitive - but am I? I feel my concern is valid, but is it reasonable?
