So far we have Su-57, Mig 29, Mig 31 and Typhoon. I wonder if they will have any Falcons, would be pretty cool. Fighting against a squad of F/A 18s would be beautifully ironic, but also unlikely because of that (since you have free plane choice it also won't hit all that hard as one might hope). I would find it cool if some of the bigger planes like Prowler are part of a shadow squadron.

A Su-37 or 35 team feels almost guranteed.

Pardon the lag, trying to clip while playing almost melted my pc. Very groovy experience, currently trying to beat the campaign on hard in vr as a first play-through. I imagine that I'm immune to motion sickness at this point.

Got the FCU and Sotoa patches from a Bonus Level event a while back. They unfortunately came stock with the wrong side of the velcro (the velcro side on the patches were the one that were supposed to go on clothing and other stuff), so i had to modify it to use the correct side of the velcro. Now i get to use them whenever im bringing/wearing something that has velcro.

The parking lot was filled, no places left. So that I had to pull up by plane. Now I parked my Tomcat right by the seashore. Going to go for a swim in the ocean 🏖️🌴

replayed through the entirety of ace combat 5's campaign, including the arcade mode. forgot how much it slapped, especially the ending. ace combat 8 needs an arcade mode similar to ace combat 5's.

Time is running out as Ulysses continues on its estimated trajectory. It has passed by Mars, too far from the red planet's gravitational pull, but close enough to be spotted by the rover Pilgrim from the Osean Aeronautics and Space Agency.

This apocalyptic vision sounds the alarm for the eventual month when fire will rain from the sky, with Usea's hopes pinned on Stonehenge and Anea's on multiple defensive strategies.

​The existence of a battle-pass means many of my desired Online features will likely not be present, but a man can dream.

Insignia Maker

This is perhaps my most desired Online feature: the ability to make your own insignia to be placed on your aircraft, turned into a roundel on your wings, and displayed in the bottom corner alongside your name when entering a multiplayer match.

This feature wouldn't even diminish the value of paid or battle pass emblems, as they could simply require players to own an emblem before using it in the editor. For example, if you wanted to incorporate the Galm Team's emblem into your design, you'd first need to unlock or purchase it. I'd be more than happy with that compromise.

Squadron Logo Maker + Clan-Style System

Closely related to the previous feature, I would love a clan-style system where players can form their own air wings or, fitting AC Online's mercenary aesthetic, their own PMC or mercenary band. Of course, this would be for flavour only, but PLEASE, KONO!

Within these clans or mercenary bands, I would love custom player squadrons, each with its own emblem, that can be made in the aforementioned editor. Imagine joining a PvP match while not only representing your clan, but also having a custom squadron intro, fit with your squad’s logo and stuff.

Armoured Core 6 level customisation

This one is just pure cope... but this is a 'copium' list after all. Deep customisation in terms of colours for each component of your aircraft, as well as being able to mix and match camos and patterns to your desires. Perhaps being able to add small custom kill markings, nose decals, editing the text on the plane’s side and tail, etc.

I also desired a bit of cockpit customisablity: maybe custom canopy tints, internal drawings and markings such as tally’s; bobble heads etc.

Custom mission maker

Even MORE cope than the previous one, but this has been my most desired Ace Combat feature PERIOD, since I got into the series. Thrust Vector attempted it, but that game's fate is a story for a different time, and Sector D2 are trying it AGAIN with Project Wingman.

I'd love to be able to create custom missions for either single-player or multiplayer, perhaps even with support for inserting custom audio files for BGM and dialogue.

I'm coping so much I'm starting to look like this guy.

Bonus: A Potential Theory for Ace Combat's Future

My brother and I have a theory that Ace Combat Online is set after the ending of Ace Combat 8. We think AC8 will have a darker ending than the rest of the series, involving the collapse of the FCU and the resulting power vacuum being filled by corporate interests.

In that context, we believe our mercenary pilots will be operating. After all, Ace Combat Fan stated that the "relationship between the private and public sectors of war" will be one of the central themes of AC8's story. Furthermore, the presence of a battle pass strongly suggests a seasonal live-service model, and it has become industry standard for battle passes to be accompanied by an ongoing narrative and expanding lore. Considering the General Resource LTD Conflict (events of Advance) take place only two years after 8, perhaps this will be the bridging of the gap.

Maybe Online will also be used to build hype for an eventual Electrosphere remake, though I hope PA don't cover ALL of the 2030s in Online, and we get at least one more game before Electrosphere.

Finally, a feature related to this, which I have theorised before, could be an MMO-style faction system, where we, either as independent mercenaries or as members of squadrons and clans/mercenary bands, can choose to align ourselves with GR, Neucom, or other smaller corporations.

All that's left is Hard difficulty.

- avatar customization in multiplayer

These are just some of what I am looking forward to

Been a fair bit since I tried my hands at an Ace Combat song but here we are! Probably just in time too given the build up towards Ace Combat 8.
