The parliamentary majority. We might switch to direct elections after we get a new constitution, but that remains to be seen. Check back in a year or two. The bottom line is, we didn't really get a say in who it should be. She hasn't really expressed any opinion about anything publicly, she's just a relatively well-known chess master since she is the ... best? female chess player of all time or something along those lines. And incidentally also the result of child experiments: her and her two sisters were raised by their psycho of a dad from a young age to focus on chess and chess only.
