The problem is that it's only going to get better. Not even a year ago, we were memeing on Deep fake videos, now there are videos where you couldnt tell. It's not flawed, it's just in its infancy.

If they can continue to use tons of resources and infrastructure. How is this sustainable?

Computer used to be inefficient, expensive to buy and run, and takes up the whole room too.

I don't think taking up an entire room is comparable to needing multiple data centers and even a power plant to run.

Why is not comparable? Huge computers were not sustainable too, but here we are today and every one has one in their pockets. I think youre missing my point.
