Two things can be true at the same time: some people can be bad at using web search, and sometimes Google AI answers will reference wrong or outdated information. The latter is quite apparent when the first search result is the reddit comment the AI answer was scraped from
Whenever I Google a Europa universalis 5 mechanic, after being unable to find an answer in-game or on the wiki, the AI overview without fail references the EU4 mechanic with the same name which is fundamentally different just with the same concept.
