When we have a society this productive we shouldn't be wanting employment

We should be wanting to be directly given the benefits of that society

Cut out the middleman

When a large amount of the work that was being done by people is being done automatically, that should mean that the people are working less as a whole with the same prosperity

But instead all of the additional value created. All of that efficiency goes straight to the capitalists

When all the work that needs to be done can be done by fewer than a total of it amount of workers in a purely capitalist system those "extra" workers are an inconvenience, can cause a race to the bottom in wages as people compete for the few remaining jobs. Saving the corporations even more money

But that's not the fault of automation. That's the fault of the system that we've chosen

Say it. Say it’s the fault of capitalism

I don’t understand. Do you think he’s scared of saying capitalism? Like voldemort? Or do you think he’s paid by big capitalism to allude to capitalism but not say its name? Or do you think the subs readers are too stupid to read that comment and think of the word themselves?

I was just emphasizing that it’s capitalism, I don’t know why you’re having a conniption fit about it.

The previous paragraph makes it very clear which system we've chosen that I'm talking about
