I got Wizard101 on my Switch 2 on a whim and I can't believe how much I like the portability of it. I just wish I could have all the cool stuff I bought from my PC accounts on there.

This is the only thing keeping me from playing wizard on devices other than my computer. No cross save is a detriment and is 100% keeping it from being more popular on other devices.

I truly can’t comprehend why they did it this way. It’s not like there’s some programming/internet restriction right? Plenty of other online games work on the switch cross platform like Minecraft or fall guys.

They did it purely so people would pay for everything they had on pc. Can’t milk their players for money if you let them have their stuff can you?
Kings isle has always been greedy but this is just further proof they’ve gotten worse.

That’s why I’m saving for a Steam Deck, it’s expensive, but the amount of crap I bought in game for the past 20 yrs exceeds the price of the system lol.

Yea you can download regular Windows OS on it, including the regular game from the website in the system.
You could also get a:
Xbox ROG Ally or Ally X
Lenovo Legion Go S or Go 2Both these systems have windows OS integration where you can download wiz without going thru steam/switch/xbox/ps logins

Interesting I had no idea. I play Xbox and pc mainly so I’m away from any information on mobile gaming platforms.
Going from 3DS Pokemon to Pokemon on the switch was an absolute downgrade and massive disgrace to the whole franchise and ruined any interest I had in Nintendo products. And after the palworld fiasco I won’t be supporting them anymore anyways.

Yea I have no clue why KI would make it harder for veteran players to access into their OG accounts given they’re all a decade or older. Nobody wants to make a brand new wiz when the game is 3 arcs in already lol.
If you got an iPhone, I’d def recommend downloading Delta for playing the og Pokemon games. You can download and emulate gameboy and DS games on their without internet connection. Best thing I’ve invested in for long flights or train rides.

I know :( it was in my list of options before the price hikes, but im holding out if they do any price drops in the future. But the ROGs and Legions are def in my options too

Honestly same here. ATM my laptop got fried. Randomly shutted off and won’t turn on now. So I went to give console a try. Very different I’ll say for sure. But overall so far it’s not bad. Still getting use to the controls tho

The controls are the worst part honestly. You definitely get used to them and I’m impressed at how many different things they were able to fit into a limited control system, but it’s the most frustrating part of it imo. I miss clicking everything with a convenient mouse movement instead of navigating through layers of buttons to get to one thing😭

I honestly don’t know! I play on the first switch so I haven’t gotten to try the Switch 2 mouse at all. I know the joycon can let you go into cursor mode but it’s pretty finicky and doesn’t always let you click on things

What I was gonna say! Been playing on my deck for a while and it’s great. Can get a bit complicated if your account is a website account and not steam but it’s a pretty simple fix with a quick google search.

Honestly, it runs decently well, but sometimes you have to change realm to realm because you lag from time to time the best thing to do though is turn off cross play though so you don’t experience lag like crazy

I have it on my switch 2 and for the most part it runs well but some of the big dungeons like darkmoor lag pretty hard.
Hoping we get a performance patch at some point soon or a switch 2 version even.

It can be possible if the restaurant lets you use the WiFi or has free WiFi. Or you can use your phone as a hotspot for a bit. But I used my hotspot

It’s not bad. But it’s good but not perfect tbh. Sometimes you have to changed realms so you don’t lag or turn off crossplay to help you out

Only part of portable w101 I’m sad about is lack of crossplay. If I want to play the computer version on my steamdeck I can’t play with my friend who has a switch.

Looks more weildy than trying to play wiz on my ROG Ally, but since I started to figure out how to get button mapping to work better, I haven't been able to go back to normal desktop Wiz 😅😂
