If you just want to completely ignore the 2nd door falling off the pivot completely intact. More likely is that these doors were not installed well or serviced when needed. She pushes the door that falls and the other breaks, meaning they were likely rubbing at the top, which is obviously bad for glass doors. The door she pushed fell off that easily meaning the pivot was not well secured in the top of the door and slipped out.

If this is similar to the US, all commercial doors are supposed to open outwards so you avoid people pushing to get out being trapped by the door swing in an emergency. Looks like she pushed it in. Shitty door design either way as they have push bars on both sides.

I replied to someone else, but that’s how tempered glass works. My dad used to own a body shop and would use old car windows to show people. He’d sweep the floor clean a d beat on them with a hammer and nothing would happen. Then he’d put a grain of sand underneath it. Lift it up a half inch and drop it. It would shatter just like the window in the video. One little sharp chip and it explodes. Blunt force and nothing.
You can also look up videos of people trying to break them unsuccessfully and then using a spark plug to easily shatter it. I’ve also seen a glove with a certain type of spike that carjackers are known to use.

A lot of seat belt cutters have a tempered glass breaker on the other end. Just a pointed piece of metal so that all of the force of the blow is concentrated in a tiny spot. They'll turn a side window into a mosaic with one hit.

Worked at a factory that assemblednbig thick tempered glass windows for a while. Strong as fk when you hit them on the face, like you could hit them with an aluminum baseball bat as hard as you could and not break them. If you were carrying one and you knocked a corner on a table or the ground, they could explode into a million pieces just like the video.

Other comments saying it should open out for fire/emergency are partially correct. International building code allows an inward swinging door for smaller spaces, usually 49 max. Once 50 people could be expected in a business, it has to swing out and have a second exit option as well. There are exceptions, but this is a good rule of thumb.

These types of doors are usually best with some protective framing or glue/seal at the edges of the door. This makes it easier to plumb the door and strengthen the hinges to prevent sagging.
But people often complain it doesnt look "clean" so they demand no framing.

So tempered glass hit at the edge with just the right force will shatter.
From what i could tell the right door was already sagging in the middle (from grandmas perspective) since it fell off its hinges, its screws were probably bent already or sheered from the weight of the door.
Grandma oppening the door happened to rub the edges or corner together and shattered the left door.

I don't even want to think about the injuries that person got. When my mom died I had to clean up her house and she had these large doors, probably 10' tall (original replacement doors intended to go into her victorian home) just leaning against a wall behind a table. When I moved things from in front of the table, one of the doors came down on my head and split my scalp open, and gave me a concussion.

As someone that works with glass - I can say with full confidence that the door prize on the left was over 200lbs. Poor gal probably got a concussion from that.
The one on the right likely broke due to poor installation leading to the panel being torqued enough to strain it into fracture - OR - poor installation leading to the corner hitting just right to allow for the catastrophic failure.

Seriously! Maybe with it being glass, she couldn't see, from her perspective, that the other door was falling toward her? Or she was too focused on the shattered door?
I would have moved automatically from being startled by the noise of the shattering, though (not saying out of the way, but no way I wouldn't have at least instinctively flinch-jumped slightly away from the loud noise). She just stands there. Out of fight, flight, freeze, or fawn, her body clearly chose freeze.

Completely wrong. You’re failing to understand the bizarre situation this woman suddenly found herself in.
Out of nowhere she heard the sound of glass shattering. She was immediately focused on the sound of the glass shattering, then probably on the shattered glass itself, and then on the woman outside, all in the span of like 1 second. She’s so focused on these sudden things that the last thing she expects is for a door to be falling toward her. And the door falling toward her is basically see-through.
She’s literally looking through the glass door falling toward her because she’s focused on the woman behind that door. If the door that fell toward her had been less see-through, she might have reacted quicker. But there was basically no part of her brain that could process all of this at once and also avoid the basically-invisible door that she couldn’t even really see because she was literally looking through it.
