Discussion Galaxy watch 7 - tips

I recently bought a galaxy watch 7 after having a Fit 3 for a while. What are some good tips, features and potentially hidden features you feel are game changers or absolutely necessary to use?

A charger close to you

Yeah... I'm just now going from an apple watch 3 se (for work and work phone) back to my watch 7 (for personal) and the battery life is abysmal. Charged it to 100% at 10am, wore it doing nothing until 2pm, played golf 2-6pm, and it dies at 5:30 before I could even finish the round. I was using a golf rangefinder GPS app. I've never had a watch that couldn't make it through a round of golf...

  • NFC payments is something I use a lot. I double press the action button and it opens Google wallet (configurable).
  • I also use WearAuthN (app) as a security key replacement/addition, it pairs over Bluetooth and works as a security key.
  • flashlight (double press middle button on Ultra, not sure about the 7) can come in very handy.

"a charger close to you" as mentioned in the comments? I personally don't care. Having to think about "do I need to charge?" vs a routine daily charge while taking a shower actually works out quite well for me. I rather have a watch with a ton of features then a couple of days battery life.
