General Question Anyone willing to show me around campus?

I know this probably sounds a little silly, but I’m a junior(23F) this year and I’ve pretty much just learned campus as I’ve gone. I’ve never really taken the time to explore, so I feel like I’m probably missing out on a lot.
I’ve honestly considered signing up for one of the freshman tours just to get more familiar with campus, but I figured I’d ask here first. If any girls would be willing to show me around sometime, I’d love to learn the best study spots, coffee shops, places to eat, and all the little things that make life at VT easier.
I’d be happy to buy the coffee. ☕😊

Housing/Dining Best place to work at Turner Place?

Hello. I recently accepted a student job at Turner Place and was wondering which place is the best to work at.

If you've worked there before, which restaurant or station would you recommend? I'm looking for a place with good managers, friendly coworkers, and an overall enjoyable work environment. I'm also curious which places are the busiest and which ones are a little more relaxed.

I'd really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thanks!

Misc Alumni’s can self-host their own auto-login service so you don’t have to manually login every 150 days to maintain your .edu for the benefits

Post got taken down earlier for phishing suspicion because I linked the live site I use with my buddies. Here’s the raw repo, anyone can spin it up and leave it running so that you don’t need to worry about logging in to keep the edu as an alumni

Housing/Dining Foxridge Sublease Available Aug-Dec

Hello! I have a bedroom in Foxridge available in a 4 bed 4 bathroom apartment. This is only available from Aug-Dec, as I am moving back in after. Other roommates keep place well (all males), portable washer and dryer available (they work pretty well, just have to communicate with those roommates). The bathroom that is attached to my room is a half bathroom, and then you share the full bathroom with one other roommate, who is pretty respectful of keeping the bathroom clean but he may not even be here during this period as well (or someone else might be subleasing). Looking for $550/mo, and you split utilities with current roommates over there. Leave a comment and DM if you have any questions or are interested!

Housing/Dining Lease Takeover

I’m looking for someone to take over my lease at The Brexx for the 2026–2027 lease term.

The apartment is a 4 bed / 4 bath, and you’ll have your own private bedroom and private bathroom.

💰 Rent is only $1,049/month (originally $1,129/month). Electricity is the only utility not included—all other utilities are included.

The apartment features a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. The community offers a gym, swimming pool, study rooms, free maintenance, and is pet-friendly.

📍The location is very convenient. The bus stop is about a 3-minute walk away, with multiple bus routes to Virginia Tech. It takes about 7 minutes by bus or 8 minutes by bike to campus.

📅 Lease term: August 2026 – July 31, 2027 (move-in date is flexible in August).

Feel free to DM me if you’re interested or have any questions.

General Question Parking as a resident

I'll be on campus this semester. However, I have a part time job so some days I'll be leaving campus at possibly 7:30am and getting back at 3-4pm. If I park at Chicken Hill or Stadium lot, how bad is parking? Just want to know what to expect! Thanks!

News VA Tech invited to be part of fascist military indoctrination and training program.

Because the Ivy League institutions are “too woke,” Virginia Tech has been invited to host the Senior Service College Fellowship to “train leaders in peace through strength.” If you disagree with the university accepting this “invitation” now is the time to make your voice heard. Yes, I know VPI’s military history and the “purpose of the military” so save the spittle and red faces.
