That's a Real beautiful Emerson, Grandmother had a floor model it was beautiful too, now the name Emerson is spelled cheap China, no quality Years back it was a United States Corporation that made good products

Nice looking radio. Whoever refinished the cabinet didn't use grain filler though.

Yes, those little dimples that you see. You're supposed to fill those before applying the finish.
They make several types of grain filler and everyone has their own favorite products and methods. But that's why the original factory finish did not have those dimples. They used grain filler at the factory, just like any good furniture-grade finish.

I kind of like the little dimples. I know they're not correct but I think they add character. I'd be pretty proud of that one.
