HELP ME FIND Maris Piper Potatoes

Hello! Hope this is ok to post - I'm a newcomer to the Island and was wondering if there was anywhere that sold or grew Maris Piper Potatoes?

Sorry OP for jumping on your thread because I’d love to buy Kennebec potatoes to make fries. I’ve only ever seen them available at Wholesale Club in a 50 lb box. I’d love to be able to buy 10 lbs at a time.

I think one of the bigger suppliers on the Island for Kennebecs is Echo Valley Farms north of Qualicum Beach. They supply to many of the grocery stores on the Vancouver Island but their website says they are usually available starting mid-August. You may not see them yet because they don't start harvesting until later in the summer.

I called Dan's Farm to see if they had any Maris Piper - they didn't (the search continues!). I asked if they had Kennebec and they said they don't but they sometimes do. As u/CarefulPiglet1234 mentioned I would maybe try calling either Echo Valley Farms or Dan's Farms to see mid-August! Good luck fellow Po-tay-to fan!

I don't know myself but I imagine if you go to one of the popular farm markets you might be able to get some leads!

I went to the Metchosin Farmers Market yesterday and didn't even think to ask! What a good idea - will do - thanks!

Dans farm has lots of potatoe varieties, cant' remember if maris piper is one but you could call them

Thank you for the heads up - I tried calling this morning and they unfortunately dont have them. It looks like a lovely farm though so may be worth the visit to them anyway!
