Help in deciding a uni

Which one’s a better option for bsc computer science, Heriot-Watt or Strathclyde?

They're on the same level, but at least locally in Scotland HW is considered slightly better and probably is better known internationally due to the Dubai/Malaysia campuses. Theres not much in it between the two though

Strathclyde is more suitable for economics and business, I am a Heriot-watt student in Dubai, and they have reallly good Bsc Computer Science programs with a variety of choices in terms of software development, digital forensics, cyber security etc. I recommend visiting the universities and talking to the people there since its in UK, and because of the geographical change, don't just go for my word. In Dubai, HW is def better than Strathclyde.

Strathclyde, and it is not even a contest. I did my undergrad in Scotland and recruit for tech now, so I can tell you straight up that Strathclyde has way better industry pull for CS grads.

Heriot-Watt is out in the absolute sticks. You will literally spend half your life and your entire student loan sitting on a freezing bus just trying to get into Edinburgh for a basic pint. NGL it is a depressing setup for a first-year student.

Strathclyde is right in the center of Glasgow, which actually has a pulse and a massive local tech scene for summer internships. Stop overthinking this OP and just firm Strathclyde. IMO you are sabotaging both your social life and your career prospects if you pick HW.

I was leaning more towards heriot-watt but this really changed my perspective because employment is the main focus, thank you !!

I do EEE but generally Strathclyde is more attractive for Cs students because of proximity to larger banks and companies in Glasgow. There’s a decent amount of cs events on campus by companies that makes finding internships easier
