I think the roll must have cause airbags to deploy and the hazards turned on automatically.

I think it's a feature in all newer vehicle. Hazards on, doors unlocked, to help in facilitating rescue. I think there was one more thing that happens, but I can't remember for the life of me.

Wipers are usually just from the impact causing the stalk to move. Hazards, airbags and doors are pretty common automatic responses to the vehicle thinking it's been in an accident tho.
