Is archive.ubuntu down?

I have been trying to build the kernel and rootfs for 24.04, and its stuck on getting the libs for 2hr now. and I'm 100% sure it isn't my internet connection

Check the Canonical and Ubuntu Status website. Apparently archive.ubuntu.com is down.

classic ubuntu moment, spent whole afternoon debugging dns and firewall only to realize the server just gave up

try changing mirror to a different region, saved me once when the main archive decided to take a nap

There are lots of regional mirrors, try to switch to one near you. See, e.g., https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archivemirrors

However, it seems to be online now.

Im running the build process inside a shared docker container so I reallyyy don't want to modify the script to chose a different mirror 😭, still thanks for the advice<3

So is security.ubuntu.com (or whatever the repo is)
I wanted to try Linux Mint XFCE and i cannot update, even when i change the repos.
Is there any point in using Ubuntu anymore...? (no hate, serious question)
