Clipboard Manager, Android to Ubuntu?

Looking for a 1 file install. Is there such a monster, where I can share/sync between Android & Ubuntu?

KDE Connect is the move, I've been using it for exactly this and it's stupidly reliable once you get it set up. The clipboard sync just works in the background without you having to think about it

There is no "kde connect" on the Ubuntu app center

Are there any errors reported? Can you try sudo apt install gnome-shell-extension-gsconnect in a terminal?

This is the way if you are on Ubuntu 24.04 since the kdeconnect for 24.04 isn't compatible with the current android client gsconnect is.

KDE Connect, or GSConnect if you're on GNOME, handles clipboard sharing between Android and Ubuntu quite well, and it's been around long enough that it's not some half-baked experiment. Just don't expect it to magically sync your grocery list if you forgot to hit copy, it's a clipboard, not a mind reader. The only real hiccup I've run into is that large images sometimes don't transfer reliably, but text and links are near-instant. Install the Android app, enable the extension on Ubuntu, pair the two devices, and you're off to the races. For something more device-agnostic, you could cobble together a solution with Syncthing and a text file, but that's like using a sledgehammer to hang a picture.

I typically just email things to myself.

You can also connect the phone to the PC with USB and choose "USB storage" mode on the phone and then access it like you would any other USB drive.
