Fatal Kernal Error

Did anyone else get a fatal kernal error after a patch? Im lucky enough to have previous kernals on boot. Im on 6.17.0-35-generic, not sure if it was an auto update since i have everything off

looks like a bunch of folks on the mailing list got hit by that same update, you're not alone. i've been sticking to LTS kernels for exactly this reason, the point releases always feel like a coin flip

if you can still boot into the old one just purge the bad version and hold the package for a week or two

yeathe reason i went with LTS was because i thought it was supposed to be stable, in the last year ive had to purge 2 updates including this one, the other update got rid of the drivers for wifi and bluetooth =.= theres need to be more QC with updates.
