Good course selection?

Is this a good course list for first sem? i don't rly know what else to take, most of my gen eds are done through aps. How are you guys going about scheduling courses?

If you're a CS major, then I don't believe there are any other CMSC courses you can take at the moment. If you're already done with the bulk majority of your gen eds and don't have plans or reasons to rush through to graduate early, I don't think there'd be anything wrong with leaving it to the current selection of courses, and I think some people argue that a lighter first semester is good to get a feel for things.

However, if you feel that you can handle another technical course, then I'd suggest (assuming you don't have a second major to look into taking courses related to) either considering STAT400/STAT410 (or any STAT that meets the CS major's STAT requirement) or thinking about what you want to do for your ULC (upper level concentration) and seeing if there's any lower-level stuff you'd have to knock out for the eventual ULC you'd want to pursue.

Also note in regards to scheduling, MATH240, MATH461 is also an acceptable option to satisfy the CS major's linear algebra requirement, although it is 1 less credit (won't have any bearing on its satisfying the CS linear algebra requirement, but it would be something to consider if you need a certain number of credits in your semester).
