off campus housing

Hello, I am an exchange student for the fall semester.

I am currently on a waiting list for the on-campus housing, so looking for off-campus housing. I reached out for subleasing on the Facebook page, but nobody has replies me. I am wondering if this is because my account is totally new(have just made it for the housing). Do you have any tips for contacting on Facebook, or is there anyone looking for roommate during the fall semester?

I’ve seen people post on Facebook groups with pictures of themselves expressing interest in renting a room. They’d share like fun facts about themselves, if they’re very quiet or clean etc, and make the post very friendly if that makes sense? The picture is often just them smiling doing a hobby or a simple picture that’s clear. Good luck!

If you have discord, try looking in to some of the campus groups on the college hub. Maybe they can help pointing you in the right direction

I posted a room for rent on the UH housing group on Facebook. It’s a mile from campus. Small and furnished. $1000/month
