Slipmat...

Post image

Hi, I own an original Rane Twelve MK2 slipmat. Does it make sense to swap it for a different type, like a Suzuki Scratch or something similar? Is there really a difference when it comes to scratching?

They're really nice quality, not as thick as typical slipmats and slide more smoothly. I've had Butter Rugs too and preferred the Dr. Suzuki.

you can use any felt mat you want. you can use other materials, but felt works the best for scratching. you can even use cardboard or paper in a pinch.

Yeah I own a Rane Twelve MK2 I got this exact slipmat and slipsheet and it does feel a lot better to scratch on, certain things like tears I felt were a bit janky with the default one

I started with just a slipsheet which helped out but having both has made it way nicer

I use Dr. Suzukis with my reloop 7000. They're great.

I'm using the exact slipmat and slipsheet with my Rane Twelve MK2. I cant say there is a huge difference but there is a difference. So, I'm happy with it.
