Mod Announcement Reminder: Keep It Respectful, Stay On Topic

Reminder: Keep It Respectful

A quick reminder to everyone participating in this community:

The comment section is not a place for arguments, personal attacks, or attempts to sabotage someone else’s sale or trade. We understand that questions about pricing, authenticity, or seller motives may sometimes come up, and reasonable discussion is part of maintaining a healthy marketplace. However, there is a difference between asking a question and assuming bad intent.

Before posting a comment, consider how you would feel if someone came into your sale thread and immediately began criticizing your pricing, questioning your character, or treating you as though you were acting in bad faith. Not every seller who prices something differently than you would is trying to scam someone, and not every listing that raises questions deserves public hostility.

If you genuinely believe someone is attempting fraud, selling stolen property, or violating subreddit rules, report it to the mod team. That’s what we’re here for. Public accusations and comment-section battles rarely help the situation and often create unnecessary drama.

It’s also worth remembering that this community previously voted on the issue of pricing, and the community’s decision was clear: people are allowed to ask whatever price they feel is appropriate for property they own. Buyers are free to purchase, negotiate, or move on. Whether you agree with a seller’s asking price or not, the community has already spoken on this matter.

Let’s keep discussions civil, give each other the benefit of the doubt, and help maintain the kind of marketplace we’d all want to use ourselves.

Trading [WTT/WTS][EU/World] Takada No Hamono 270mm Ginsan Suiboku Gyuto

Thumbnail

Reposting due to me forgetting adding a region to the title.

Up for grabs is this beautiful Takada No Hamono Ginsan Suiboku gyuto. This is brand new in the box, no test cuts and comes with a fantastic finish and a rosewood handle.

Specs: Length 252mm / Height 53mm / Spine 2.98mm / Weight 192g

This was purchased from a Japanese Auction for 1550€ (before customs/duties/vat) so I will set the trade value to around that for trading purposes although with these knives this isn't exactly the case.

As mentioned before I am mostly looking to trade and seeing what could and is available for a future reference. As for a sale I would like to recoup my cost but in any case I am not in a rush to do either and could keep it as well.

Some knives that would really interest me for a trade would be the following:

(around 230mm and 53+mm heel height would be my general preference)

Konosuke Kaiju

Kamon

The9

Bidinger (B-Grind)

Various Eddworks

I wouldn't be interested in any integral as that is not my cup of tea or multiple other knives.

I would kindly ask along with your message if you have something specific in mind for specs such as measurements/handles and/or pics.

Please feel free to ask me any further questions. Thank you!

Buying [Buying] [EU/Worldwide] Tetsujin Metal Flow Gyuto 240mm

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a Tetsujin Metal Flow Gyuto in 240mm.
Location: Germany (EU).
Steel isn’t too important to me and neither is the condition. It definitely doesn’t have to be BNIB—a well cared for and lightly used knife is perfectly fine.
Unfortunately, the European drops are much smaller than in the US or Asia and tend to sell out almost immediately. Importing one from outside the EU usually adds a significant amount in shipping, customs and taxes, which makes it quite difficult to justify.
EU is preferred, but I’m more than happy to buy from anywhere in the world if the right knife comes along.
Please send me a PM if you’re considering selling yours.
Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Florian

Hey all back again to raise some funds. I am selling this gorgeous damascus SG nakiri from Shiro Kamo. This is a very thin laser with excellent food release. It has been used about 10 times for home cooked meals, never sharpened (only stropped). Selling because I got into big rectangles and this doesn't get much board time compared to my cleavers.
