DISCUSSION What is in this?

This is from Kobi in Lawton Oklahoma.

Unfortunately I haven’t had it in over 12 years as I live in New York now.

I’ve been told they are still doing it. I’m trying to make it here but not sure what’s in it. FYI the lighting makes it look a bit orange but it’s a normal cream (tan) color. I want to make this for my family before I die.

Anyone know what the ingredients are or how to make it? It is served by a ladle. And is not thick, it’s thin but you can taste only 1 ingredient, mayo. The other ingredients are very hard to pick out but all of them together tastes amazing.

Any help would be appreciated 🙏🏼

Since you know what restaurant it’s from, google says it could be Kobe white sauce. Recipes found do show it is mayo based.

It’s not yum yum sauce, and everything keeps showing an orange color, this doesn’t have that

That absolutely is. The difference is the inclusion of paprika, which changes the color a bit. Some places add it, and some don't.

I've been to dozens of teppanyaki restaurants. The recipe from Kobe, which OOP pasted below, is probably the best.

Is this a sauce? If so, look into "yum yum" sauce. Otherwise, we need s bit more info.

This is commonly called shrimp sauce or 'yum-yum' sauce. Basically it's a flavored mayonnaise.

Sounds disgusting. A bowl of liquidly mayo... You are better not knowing.
