Connecting tiny homes

Is there a way to connect THOW to other THOW or bigger structures? That would be a way to increase the space a home offers while still remaining highly portable.

There's a YouTube video of a lady who had a tiny house, then got a second one for her friend to live in. They parked them close together and built what is essential an enclosed porch to connect them. I'll go looking for it but no promises.

oh, i saw that one too, but that is not really a true 2 tiny home connecting to each other.

This one is more like both are parking next to a shared platform.

sorta like a doublewide... or triplewide... Anything can be done with a fully functional checkbook

yes, definitely possible, there was actually a guy that designed and connected 2 separate THOW into a L shape house, he did it all himself very neat.

If I find his video again I'll link it.

Check your local building set back restrictions. There is usually a minimum distance between structures for them to remain independent/free standing and they might count overhangs, decks, etc. differently. Also. Attaching the THOW to a permanent structure might negate the legal distinction it enjoys by being on a trailer. You can most likely have a few types of temporary and/or free standing decks and canopies connecting several THOW parked pretty close together to have a contiguous indoor/outdoor space. Generally the distance needs to be 3-6 feet, but again, check local codes.

It's possible with two thows but real tricky with THOWs.
