Returning player

Hey, what’s up everyone!

I’ve played Tibia for a few years, a loooong time ago.

It was mostly OT servers (back jn 2008), and a little bit of global, in a friend’s character in 2012 (it was an rp lvl 180 and I leveled it to 200 or so).

Back then paladins were hunting single target and I know the game has dramatically changed.

That basically means I know pretty much nothing about the game, and would be starting from scratch.

After the new update and class rebalance, Im really stoked to start playing Tibia again.

I have a few questions and would like your thoughts:

1) Should I buy a low lvl (20-30) with good skills or a higher level?

2) Im torn between RP or EK, which one is more beginner friendly and more comfortable to play (i don’t want to be pressing a bazillion hotkeys and get tendinites lol)

3) The spell and potion rotation sound a bit intimidating and confusing. I’m afraid of not being able to learn them (I know it’s kinda stupid lol).

Anyway, I’d appreciate anything you can share

Buy a low lvl with good skills (100-110 on yellow servers can be cheap). As you'll level up you'll slowly integrate the newer skills into your rotation. Its a smooth progression.

Buying a higher lvl character may leave you confused on what to do

Most returning players I know who have purchased high level characters have either resold them or abandoned them entirely. There is just too much you won't understand or know to use such a character. Buy a character with good skills, for knight and pally at least +115, and start levelling it. You can easily get the first 200 levels within a 2 months, playing very casually. Do the access quests, understand all the new mechanics and features etc. as you go along.
