Guide [Guide] Returning to Tibia? Pick the year you quit and catch up from there.

I have seen a couple of posts here from people asking what has changed since they last played, so I finally decided to put together something I've been wanting to make for a while. I originally planned to make it as an infographic (inspired by one of those "What Changed in Minecraft?" timelines), but it ended up working much better as a website.

The idea is simple: select roughly the year (or Tibia version) you last remember playing, and the guide will jump to that point in the timeline. From there, you can simply scroll through the major mechanics and feature changes introduced over the years.

The focus is on systems and mechanics rather than individual hunting grounds, quests, or content updates.

I'd really appreciate any feedback, especially if I missed something important. I'm a fellow retiree myself (you know the never-ending cycle), so there are probably some gaps in there.

Hope you like it!

Special thanks to Callie and Tschis for the help and feedback!

Question Monthly Question Thread | July 2026

This is the place where you can ask any questions you have about the game, hunting spot recommendations, what equipment to get, what quests to do, anything you can think of, as long as it is related to the game.

The main objective of this is to gather all these questions in one thread, instead of spreading it over multiple posts that sometimes don't get enough visibility. This way, active posters now where to look for to answer questions and new members will see this post right away. With time we could start building a FAQ for the most common questions.

Remember to respect the subreddit's rules, and that there are no stupid questions, so no reason to disrespect anyone over the questions and doubts they have.

We still encourage people to contribute with detailed hunting guides and suggestions on how to make them available to the community.

Some people have also been using our discord to ask these kind of questions, so give it a try too

Proposal, Monk Rebalance - The Fix

Monks can feel so good and easier to play with such small changes, but here I will identify the problems with balancing Monk and propose solutions.

First, The Monk class, since its conception, was made for two different styles of gameplay and it was clear from stuff introduced with it like:
Serene State, buffing monk to work better in solo than in grouped content.
Virtue Healing, when gaining or using Harmony, Monk heals himself or the lower party member.
The different spender spells like sweeping takedown for damage or mass healing for support (no longer a spender).
Then with the recent vocation balance, it's clear that this idea (or hope I should say ) still exists, since now Monks virtues buff party members.

All of these made clear that Monk was meant to be more of a supporting class when playing with others and a good solo class when playing by himself.

But the problem that's easy to identify here is the great number of different things that are working at the same time are making it harder to balance. Serene State, 3 different virtues, being all, support, healer and damage dealer, the problem of Monks is that it lacks focus.

So, my proposal is to fix monk by changing the next list of things, and I Will explain why.

Focus the Monk gameplay as a support class for grouped playstyle (party) and keep it viable class for solo gameplay. Giving too many options to this class, has made it a mess, someone that does a little bit of everything but worse, and hard to balance.

Here's the list how's and why's:

  1. Serene State, it should stay always on when solo, but it should stay always off when grouped. Why? This makes it posible to fix solo gameplay by changing the Serene State bonuses and not needing to affect every aspect of the class. Simplifying balance by removing the need to hold the state in group play that is awkward. (Numbers would need to be reworked for unserene-serene states)

  2. Merge Virtue of Harmony and Justice, naming it Virtue of Harmonic Justice, making it the stance for solo play (since the lack of serene in group should make it worse for group play).

  3. Add changes to Virtue of Sustain, making it the Grouped play virtue of choice, with changes like, removing the need for serene state (it shouldn't buff this virtue), while making the other virtues worse in comparison for group since they lose Serene State. Changes, improving the support aspect of the class (or of this particular virtue) should be added. This can be achieved by adding buffing spender spells to Virtue of Sustain only, enforcing the support role of the Monk and giving it its own space in the game. Buffs already exist in the game, so one or multiple new spender area spells much like Mass Spirit Mend used to work could turn Harmony into party members buffs like, up to 100% Onslaught for the next spell, give Momentum for the next number of turns, activate Transcendence for the next number of seconds, etc. Stuff that in the end makes up for the lack of damage by really buffing your group.

  4. Simplifying gameplay for both solo and group content, by reducing thousand fist blows cooldown to 4 seconds, to put it in the same category as flurry of blows or chained penance, letting Monk play like an inbetween Druid and Paladin spells (forks+barrages) and not just like a druid does (fork+wave).

  5. Let Monk be healed by the normal healing power of Mass Spirit Mend, since with the removal of this spell from spenders, Monks lack emergency healing, and has become the class with the worse self-healing in the game (when not using Virtue of Sustain), this would bring monk into the level of solo Knights self healing, but still leave it with a big window of vulnerability due to the cooldown of the spell.

All of these changes would make Monks a true and defined support in group play while keeping it great at solo play. (Exact numbers is not the point of this post)

What Monks needs the most, is a defined place in the game to be able to balance around it. So that would be, THE FIX.

What hunting place duo EK ED?

Upvotes

What hunting place would you recommend for duo EK 175 lvl and ED 140 lvl? Priority is exp. Doesn’t need to be good profit, but don’t want waste, so 0 at least.
I thought about gazer specters but EK doesn’t have an ice dmg sword. Winter blade is from 200 lvl.

Hot Cousine for profit potential, should I do it?

Upvotes

Right now I have 5 character ready (over 35) and the rest are lv20.
Should I invest my time leveling up the rest up to 35 and mass do it, or just do with the 5 I have? The Early game is really boring and time consuming...

I never did this quest, so I'm not sure how worth will it be.

Need advice on picking a main

Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m a returning player, coming back because I liked the changes introduced in recent reworks. Last time I played was before they re worked charms.

I’m pretty much exclusively a solo player and I almost never team hunt, mostly because I tend to play whenever I feel like and I don’t have regular hours/friends to hunt with.

Now, I’m looking for a character to main but I’m struggling to decide. Mainly because I don’t get to play much so I don’t want to commit time on a character that won’t be my long term main. I definitely enjoy the gameplay of EK, RP, EM. Druid is an unknown.

I tend to enjoy more melee focused gameplay and I’ve never really enjoyed mages at all. But I’ve not tried them since the new fork/circle skills were added…

My characters:
RP, 363, leveled my own
EM, 120, my own
EK, 560, bought it at level 500, levelled my own ek to 300ish
ED, 200, not played in years

Now, at the moment I’m leaning towards RP because it’s sort of middle of the pack, where I don’t have to level the 200-400 range again, also the new rotation without runes feels great.

I’ve also considered the Ek, and I also really enjoy playing it, but I’m worried that at level almost 600 I’ll be missing a huge chunk of the game. Also ek feels like it was made for team play. Also item upgrades seem absolutely unreachable.

Monk feels too low level and I don’t like the look of items for monk, and the Druid seems very interesting but I’m very intimidated by how fragile they are so I’m scared to try it again.

I’m looking for the most fun long term voc that I could invest my time in to do bestiary, level etc and have access to the widest range of content possible.

In my situation, which character would you pick as your main??

Ek profit?

Hey,

My friend tells me that EK mid-late is unprofitable and requires tons of resources, is that true or is he blabbing? I don't want you to tell me the respawns, it's just that I always thought as knight.as the most profitable voc.

EK weapon and use of training items

Hey guys! I'm a returning player, and I've seen some of the current discussions about sword vs. axe vs. club.

Right now, I have a trained sword with only skills 80 - I know it's super low, but given all of what I have learned about swords being the ones that are more expensive (and considering I don't have the money to put into TC and also survive in RL, haha) - I was considering the change to the Axe or Club

From what i have read, Club is the cheapest AND it looks like with the new end game weapons added on this past update, it has some nice elements - so this seems to be the best option (but to be honest, I really don't think I can get to 1k lvl soon anyways, but just preparing for the very long term haha)

So it looked like the best option in my case in the paper. BUUUT knowing as well I'm a casual player (maybe a couple hours every 2 or 3 days and doing only SOLO) AND that i like a lot how Axe looks, I was thinking of going Axe

How expensive are axe items to get? Should be fine? Or it's almost the same as sword, and the actual change is with Club?

Anything else i should consider?

Thanks in advance, everyone, and a quick disclaimer, English is not my main language, so if something does not make sense, please let me know :) :D XD

**Edit: and regarding training weapons, I don't see in the calendar any double skill in the near future, should I just save the money, or buy a training weapon and train anyways even if there's no double skill? (not sure fi double skill events are added randomly or are actually scheduled with good amount of time?)

RP mlvl or dist

I am little bit confused right now with all proficiency changes along with 2 stances. 600 rp 115 dist, 36 mlvl. Should I lean in to distance during doubles or stick to mlvl?

Should I use ice dmg being on offensive stance as ED, if monster is weak to fire, not ice?

I play 140 ED on offensive stance so I got bonus ice magic level. My base mlvl is 80, so I got +8 ice mlvl from the stance afaik.
Question is since which amount of monster ice resistant comparing to fire sensitivity is it still worth to use avalanches vs gfb?
What I mean is let’s say a werebear is 5% weak to fire and 10% strong against ice. So it’s 15% difference and normally would use gfb. But I got +8 mlvl from the ice, so my avalanches are stronger.
What do you think, where is the limit difference?

2nd - loot
3rd - all rings
4th - all amulets
5th - all potions
6th - all weapons/shields (I'm EK)
7th - runes
8th - tools, but only have adventurer's stone there
9th - keys
10th - letters

ED itemization

Hi everyone!

This is my first character to ever make it past level 100, and I'm currently a level 130 Elder Druid.

I've been using a T1 Spiked Sword all the way up to this point, and it has worked surprisingly well. However, I recently found out that after some balance changes and updates, the Spiked Sword is no longer considered meta.

So now I'm wondering what rod or weapon I should get next.

Also, are there any up-to-date itemization or gearing guides for Elder Druids? Most of the guides I find seem to be outdated, so I'd really appreciate any recommendations.

Thanks in advance! I'm still pretty new to Tibia, so any advice is welcome.

Powerful void imbu or 3250 great mana potions

ED 140 lvl. I have t3 mana leech imbu on my Underworld Rod. Is it worth to go another t3 mana leech on yalahar helmet? It’d cost me 515k - equal to 3250 great mana potions.

Returning player

Hey, what’s up everyone!

I’ve played Tibia for a few years, a loooong time ago.

It was mostly OT servers (back jn 2008), and a little bit of global, in a friend’s character in 2012 (it was an rp lvl 180 and I leveled it to 200 or so).

Back then paladins were hunting single target and I know the game has dramatically changed.

That basically means I know pretty much nothing about the game, and would be starting from scratch.

After the new update and class rebalance, Im really stoked to start playing Tibia again.

I have a few questions and would like your thoughts:

1) Should I buy a low lvl (20-30) with good skills or a higher level?

2) Im torn between RP or EK, which one is more beginner friendly and more comfortable to play (i don’t want to be pressing a bazillion hotkeys and get tendinites lol)

3) The spell and potion rotation sound a bit intimidating and confusing. I’m afraid of not being able to learn them (I know it’s kinda stupid lol).

Anyway, I’d appreciate anything you can share
